Ferrybridge cooling tower blowdown, explosion and demolition 13 October 2019
The rain and gloom did not dampen the spirits, it was over within seconds but something I'm glad I watched and experienced with my 9-year-old son this morning.

I wasn't on my own but it felt like it when all the traffic stopped and all went quiet.

You can't see it but a lot went wrong that day. The outside protection containing the rubble upon explosion failed and a lump of concrete flew very far hitting a live pylon next to civilians showering sparks and bits of stone all over.
