The last episode sponsored by Maxwell House. General Foods decided to end their association with the series for the remainder of the season (they returned the following fall, selling Post cereals and Instant Postum). Crosley appliances became the program's sponsor the following week, for the next several months. Marvin Miller speaks one final time for Maxwell House.
Love these old radio shows, however, the three most annoying things about this series - in just about every episode: 1) Kathy: Whining and crying like an infant! 2) Bud: "Dad...Dad...Dad...Dad...Dad..." and "Holy cow." 3) Father: Way too much pissing and moaning and sarcastic condescending. The TV show is far better, and 'Father' is much more likeable. (Elinor Donahue is a doll!)
Well, when you watch episodes back-to-back-to-back, of course it’ll get annoying. The reason audiences enjoyed it more was because every episode was spaced out, as you can see the date of airing in the description.
Love these!! Nostalgia! 💖
Great shows. I love them. Thanks "OTRR". 😄
