The version Raul sang of Defying Gravity a while back where it was him joking around and just having fun with it was better - but the end was so strong and he and Kristin do a great job together!
Raul is amazing - his version of this (especially at the end) has such passion and he does his own take on it. Such vocal freedom!! Wish we had the ending! Frustrating!
I’d love for Raul to play a gender nonconforming / non-binary version of Elphaba - it would be amazing! This is actually a role where such an approach would work.
I've had the honor of listening now to four different versions of this performed by Raul...Best of Broadway Concert...Seth Rudetsky (Spelling), a Schwartz concert, and some random recoding of this concert. Every single time he adds something unique...like a different interpretation. Even though we got a nice story and a duet, it wasn't my favorite...but God, it's Raul, you have to love whatever comes out of this man's mouth even if it isn't his best performance.
Kristin sounds absolutely stunning in this video even though she only sings a couple lines....but very entertaining..I would be all for a male elphaba (preferable me playing her)...lol
154bpm!!!! ITS MARKED IN THE SCORE! UGH. Kristen was great but Raul killed this song in the most butal way possible. His timbre did not compliment kristen's at all. They should have got some else like Jeremy Jordan. I wouldn't have minded suffering through Idina Menzel instead of this guy.

Hell yeah, He's having such a good time in that one :)
I love that version too. Such fun to watch and his voice is just amazing there.
That man has the voice of an angel! I'd love to meet him.
First time I have heard a male voice singing this... and I love it. Btw, huge Kristin Chenoweth fan here.
it cut off right before the killer note ohmygod

Please, please, PLEASE can we have a professional recording of this song?!
I'd love to know as well! Not my video, I just uploaded what I found because it was on here so I've never seen the end either.
Awww it cut off right before the best part! He sounds great, good rendition of it :)
with tonights episode of hannibal looming, i really needed this
He can sing anything!
Raul is AMAZING!
Raul has more talent i could ever hope to want >.>
Me too!! There is always that recording of the one he did with Seth but I imagine this version would have been a little more refined.
Olive and Alfredo!!! (Pushing Daisies brought me here)
I was looking forward to the last note for his interpretation lol
Raul is epic!! :)
I can't get over the conductor. lmao
Can you imagine Kristin doing this with Chris Colfer? God, I'd have that on repeat till the end of time.

I want to see a gender bender version of Wicked with Raul as Elphie and Jeremy Jordan as Galinda. That would be amazing.
The conductor is amazing!
Ahh.. The version he sung with Seth was so much better tbh.
iloveyou
I think Raul and Kristin sound awesome, but I don't think their voices fit together.
how about Kristen and Harvey Fierstein (Sp)......?
I think it's because of the alternate notes Raul sung.
They should have brought Idina onstage!!!
“What’s that like?” Lol
*dies*
Such a bad video on so many counts - a disservice to both great performers who shouldn't be working together.

It wouldn't have been in the right key for Jeremy either
