I am binge watching your extremely helpful videos.:) after having an extremely hard week with my two step daughters. This is confirming the things I have been doing right, which is awesome!! I love your insight and tips and ways I can rethink things that have been tripping me up. Thank you! God bless you!
I just found you and thank you for sharing your insight. There are not a lot of resources for stepmoms out there! I highly agree with the 'taking care of yourself' aspect. After meeting my now husband and stepdaughters 4 years ago, I jumped right in, head first, and actually stopped doing things for me for almost 2 years. Once I wasn't very happy and started having problems in my relationship, I stepped back from my role a bit and took better care of myself. It worked. I got more respect from those that mattered and I was a lot healthier in the entire process. I know now that when things start to get a little overwhelming for me and I begin to feel upset or unappreciated, I go back to that and take care of myself again.
Second video I have watched and you have yourself a new sub! I need this right now thank you so much. I am a step mom of three and I brought my own daughter into the relationship. We have been together for seven years and circumstances have changed and now we are fighting for custody. This is so hard and emotionally draining. Especially when the mother is doing weird behavior like recording her children who are teenagers now and they also think that’s weird.
My step kids call me by my first name but my daughter who is two when I started dating my husband sometimes calls him dad because her dad was not in her life. You’re right it’s different for every situation.
I’m currently dating a divorced guy with kids...I’ve never been married and have no kids. You vlog is soooo helpful to me!
Same here!

I refer to her as the trial run, as practice for me. He got to make all the mistakes with her; when he got to me he was an older and better man.
