- This video demonstrates how to bypass the memory module in the leather 10-way powered seats from a 2013 Explorer Sport into install the seats in a 2013 Police Interceptor Utility. The wiring colors are the same on 09-14 Ford F-150 trucks as well as many other similar year Ford vehicles. These seats were equipped with heated and cooled seats but I am only hooking up the power motion functions and bypassing the memory module and getting the airbag light to turn off for code B00A0 (Occupant Classification System.

Great video. Thats alot of work to have a few more adjustments in your seat. I guess it would be handy if you are driving 40-50,000 miles every year for work. A few hour drive.. would not matter.

The simplest way is just getting a base model power seat. I got a set from a 2013 for my 2017. I swapped the seat belt buckle and the seat occupant sensor/bladder on the passenger side front. Swapping the occupant sensor/bladder got ride of the airbag light

Hey there! Great videos! Just picked up a '15 PIU and wiring up my seats now. Looks like there's an error in the chart? E - Jump Yellow/Blue to Blue/Yellow ----- but E on the switch panel is Yellow/Blue and E on the Rear Height Motor is Yellow/Orange. Only found it because for the life of me I couldn't find a Blue/Yellow!
Hi, thank you for these very useful videos. When you changed out the drivers seat was there any additional wiring needed. The seats I’m looking at have power recline & slide, while my interceptor only has power slide.
Unfortunately the plug is different. And the number of wires. I oulled from stock piu and seems like wires go to more then just the plug ir i would simply repin them
I had two issues last weekend working on 14 FPIU:
1. I was NOT able to enter key fob programming mode by using 8 times ignition key to position 3 (I locked/unlocked x2 before turning the key, and left it in ON position on 8th time)
2. I was able to enter TPMS relearn mode, but the grey color with green button tool that I purchased on Amazon did not work on any of the 4 wheels, I started on Front Left, but tested on other wheels in case TPMS battery was dead on FL with no success)
Try using forescan do disable dark car and enable key learning. Should work then
Would you mind share with us how to add Aux female input in FPIU? Thanks in advance. I would like to use Bluetooth adaptor through the Aux port (I am assuming that’s the only way to listen to music through my phone).

I followed your instructions. Thank goodness 6 it out there! Now i just have a airbag light. Cide passenger side seatbelt latch. Seats from 2013 into a 2017. Any thoughts?
I’ll be putting seats from a 13 into a 17 in the next couple weeks so I may have a better awnser then, but for now I think maybe swap the seatbelt latch from the old seat if you have it.

Hi there, Im getting a passenger airbag light on when the original manual seat is in already. trying to decipher why that would be before I change the seat. Do you have a video of how to run and RCM DTC test

So after running FORscan, I got U0154, B1407, and b0052 all with 13 (circuit open) fault symptom. Never in an accident although maybe the passenger airbag system was disabled in its entirety. Any good places to start? The seat is removed and still throwing those codes.@@depolicify
I followed your guide to a T, everything is working perfectly….Except I cannot get the airbag light to go off or the passenger airbag light to turn on. I swapped the gel pad, swapped the other sensor. I am really stumped and I do not have Forscan. Anything you recommend I try?
Btw, thank you for the video. It is so helpful! More information, the airbag light on dash was never illuminated with original seats in. But, the airbag (on-off) light always showed off. Maybe the pad is bad? Or they somehow turned the passenger airbag off? Like I said, I am stumped.

Are you seats from a 2011-12 Explorer? If so then they probably have the seat belt anchored to the seat instead of the pillar. I would try swapping the entire harness. seat airbag and plug can stay, but all the other wires try swapping and see if it fixes the issue.
I’m having a issue where sometimes my airbag light is off and sometimes it is on. I have this box on the side of my console with a key that controls the passenger airbag and I think that’s why the light is on. Do you have any tips to get the airbag light off?
If it is an aftermarket control module then that is most likely the issue. I am unfamiliar with any modifications to the airbag system
Where do I run the power wire to on the passenger seat. I just got power seats out of a 2012 limited for my 2014 piu . And I also have the airbag light on since I bolted in the new seats.
Run a jumper wire from the purple/red wire on the drivers seat to the purple red on the passenger seat. That should fix the power. For the airbag light you most likely need to swap the occupancy sensor pad as shown in the video

@@depolicifyI was also wondering, when I was in forscan I noticed there was a option to enable remote start. Is that just a matter of having the right keyfob once it’s enabled?
I have not gone too far down that rabbit hole yet, but usually it requires an additional antenna and the hood switch. I will make a video at some point@@kennethmorrow740
@@depolicify shoot me was hoping it was as simple as enabling remote start and getting the keyfob with the remote start button. Which I ordered and got coming tomorrow.
