Wow, thank you so much for this amazing and informative tutorial! I have been trying for a while to achieve a dartless pattern and I am so happy to have finally come across your video. You are brilliant - explained perfectly! Love from South Africa xx
Love your tutorial ❤ Thank you so much for sharing 😘 Do you have a tutorial for drafting a bodice with shoulder dart from personal measurements? If not, do you consider to teach us?
@@YenTran-lj9bf awwh🥰 I’m really happy to hear this. Thank you 🙏 Yes, I have a full tutorial on how to draft bodice using personal measurements. Kindly click the link below to watch the tutorial 👇ruclips.net/video/LrqoIAtH8wI/видео.htmlsi=Qy3mXfY7NT1St0Z5
Thank you so much!!! I was looking for a method to transform my bodice with darts (that I use to woven fabrics) into a dartless bodice to use with knit fabrics. You saved me!!! Kisses from Brazil! 😘
am making a bridal dress but it has no darts i was confused how it falls so well on the body without darts.let me try this out and see...thanks alot dear.
Thank you Joyce. You can actually remove the front waist dart same way as the back bodice, but the issue is actually the front shoulder dart. The shoulder dart value is big, removing it like the back shoulder dart will affect the shape of the armhole. Then you may have to refit your bodice and sleeve block again which is a longer process. Go watch my tutorial on drafting a cowl neck slip dress ( ruclips.net/video/R-kaXDXiNIM/видео.html ) and see how I removed the waist dart after removing the shoulder dart. Hope this helps?
oh this is Amazing! i am trying to understand because i did not have a shoulder or bust dart. just a waist- would i just have to eliminate that by removing the dart width? but all in all, this was the best explanation i’ve seen- THANK YOU!
Thank you! I just got through fitting my bodice block and wasn't quite excited about going through everything again to draft my knit block!

Tnx for the tutorials.
Please, how do you create a dartless half bodices i.e. a bodies that ends at the waist (excluding the hip area)?
Check my basic bodice block tutorial here 👇

Draft it up to the waist line and ignore the below the waist.
Hello, thank you for this video. Is it possible to use this dartless for woven fabric as well?
Yes, you can. For styles without darts.

Please, let us know how it turns out. Thank you 🙏
Thanks madame
Please do we add any seam allowance while cutting knitts?
It depends on the type of knit fabric you’re working with. If it’s a two way knit fabric with minimal stretch, you will need to add seam allowance.
Nice tutorial eghons always on point.
Why did we not just remove the shoulder dart and waist darts of the front bodice same way as the back bodice

Yes, just take off the dart value from the side like I did for the back bodice 👌
