You guys are so blessed to have Randy The Carpenter. He is such a hard worker. I know you guys must pay him well. He does the work of 2-3 men. Thank you Randy The Carpenter for all the hard work you do for Dutch and his family. ❤
@@caroldesjean3485I’m pretty sure he does help but he is paying to have the work done so what’s the problem?? When I pay to get my car worked on I don’t help them either because I’m paying them for the work. 🇺🇸🙏
i don't know why, maybe because I'm an old lady, but just love, love, love watching guys working, whether demolition, carpentry, driving heavy equipment. Keep up the great videos!
I’ve seen all kinds of messes like this doing termite repairs and maintenance. Once I was paid to put a big ceiling fan up in a living room in a really nice house. The homeowner had bought everything trying to save some money and just wanted me to install it on a big oak looking beam in the middle of the room. Well I went up the ladder to drill some holes for electrical wires and my drill went right through the beam without even turning the drill on. It was styrofoam!!! Made to look like a thick wood beam. It was glued to the sheet rock. Homeowner decided not to get a simple ceiling fan after the price went up. Seen others where someone put shipping tape over a hole in sheet rock wall and painted over it to repair a hole they had knocked through it!!
Wow it’s hard telling what you will find in this house. But by the time Randy gets done with it it’s going to be done right he knows what he’s doing. God bless you Randy.
Metal roof would be so much better in the long run.I have a metal roof and no more leaks coming thru. Have a nice and truble free day. Love much Barbara
Randy Is such a gem, Dutch!!! He's a national treasure. The world needs more Randies and Dutches and Brandies, and Kevin and Rachel's and ARMS Family homestead along with their channels and Merchandise !!!!❤
Dutch and Randy great video. Congratulations on the new roof. I cannot believe the wall Randy was taking apart and how it was put together. Great to see the house coming along. David B.,Utah. 🐓🐓🐈🐈🇺🇲🇺🇲❤❤❤.

You have to have permits for everything. The guys did a great job on the roof. Looks great. Good to see Randy again. He does an amazing job. My home back in Tennessee was over 100 years old. We remodeled some of the house and it had square nails in it. You never know what you will find.

Hey Dutch, love your videos but I have to say, ROUND THE TOP CORNER TO THE WOOD AT THE END OF THE TRAILER so the tarp doesn't catch or break on that sharp corner too.. Anyway just a suggestion. God bless you all..
I thought of that too. I've chamfered edges before because my router sucks and I had a table saw. It was a good thought to think about damaging the tarp.

I live out in the country of eastern North Carolina I Purchased a part part of my grandmothers old property. No close towns and l had to get many Permits one for my drive, one to drill well, one to move my house.,and one for septic, I think that’s it
Permits are crazy. I had to get a permit to collect fill dirt so we could recontour our yard and make drainage all around our half acre. All the homes around were higher and we had a swampy yard. But when we got an asphalt driveway, we didn't need a permit because they are considered temporary, as opposed to a concrete driveway. 37 yrs later the driveway is still there, though it could use repair. Some people would replace it, but we don't have money for that.
We rehabed a house near Dayton. Ohio. But the housing case in 2009 busted us. If we could have been ahead of that mess we could have doubled our investment
Randy sure is a hard workin man! Always said I like a man who works hard. Can't stand a lazy man! That house, garage, and yard is gonna look so much better when y'all get it all done. Awesome video! God bless.😊
I saw attic vents in the gables. I think they are better than dormer vents. I've seen the first row of shingles be installed upside down then covered with a second layer. Never understood why. That was years ago. Now they use a shingle starter.
@@Esteban_Herrerathe reason the first row of shingles are installed upside down is some shingles have a gap in them so the shingles below them will shed the water away. Putting the shingles upside down makes a whole shingle across the roof on the bottom row so the gap on the shingle on top of it will line up to make a path for water to flow . 🇺🇸🙏

On your trailer sideboards use I-bolts for the lower attachment bolts. Gives you a tie down for securing a load or a tarp.

What about roof vents? Most put in tin vents or the kind that are at the cap of the roof now. It is best to have some sort of ventilation up there.
