    I love the Rekluse clutch on my RMZ450. It changes a motocross bike into an awesome all around bike and in my case that's exactly what I needed. I ride dunes, single track, slick rock, desert and everywhere in between and with the Rekluse I can do it all so much better.

    Any insight into longevity of this clutch system? I understand it’s subjective, but need to understand how much expected life in testing or real life use?

    I've got the revloc dyna ring on mine. Only just recently fitted it and i think rekluse bought the rights to it or something and added there touches but my issue now would be where would i get mine resurfaced 😢. Obviously it doesn't need it yet but still.

    I have a friend with an amputated left leg and a left hand that he can’t squeeze with. Is there a solution for him such as an electric shifter component? Also, my understanding is you still need to pull the clutch handle one time to put it in first gear, how could he do this? Can an electric reverse gear work with this? How does neutral work?

    Hi, I would like to get back into cruising again I am 64 I have ridden Harleys most of my adult life and now have extreme arthritis in my left hand and wrist. I can not even pull my sons Electa Glide handle in at all. Which one of these clutches would you recommend to a geezer with no more strength left in his left hand? I can cross over with my right hand and shift into 1st gear to start, but after that........
    I have been looking also at the sic shops reduced pull clutch lever. went from a 16# pull down to a 7# pull. Are you familiar with these? If so do you think the combo may get me back in the saddle again? Thanks a bunch. Mike

    What's the difference between the prominently displayed red and purple springs?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  6 лет назад +1

      The small colored springs change the RPM at which the clutch begins engaging.
      The larger pressure plate springs (some models) will change the clamping force on the clutch pack and affect the stiffness of the lever pull.
      Hope that helps!

    If your bike came stock with a cable clutch, but you upgraded to a magura hydraulic clutch, could you still order just the standard Rekluse that was designed to fit a cable mechanism? Eg a DRZ400E fitted with the magura hydraulic conversion.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  5 лет назад +1

    • @rmatvmc

I was struggling to keep my 17 KTM 250SXF from stalling. My question is, what are 1 or 2 of the cons or drawbacks to a Rekluse clutch?

    • @mmaaddict78

      It will most likely increase heat a little since the clutches will be partially engaged more than usual. May increase oil change frequency due to my previous point? I could be wrong though.

  • @heybulldog137
    @heybulldog137 6 лет назад +1

    With the wedges using centrifugal force, the harder you rip, the better the clutch bites, but, at lower rpm's does it tend to slip? Or does the power of the clutch suddenly come on when a certain rpm is hit? Like, nothing nothing...pow?

    • @eubikedude
      @eubikedude 6 лет назад +2

      They feed in over a range of RPM. So it's not "POW" but very smooth engagement even with a full handful of wheel-lifting torque on e.g. a 1290, you don't even notice it, it's as smooth or smoother than a manual engagement.

  • @jackamansken
    @jackamansken 6 лет назад +1

    So you can’t coast unless in neutral
    You can’t pull in the clutch and be underpowered
    There’s always power to the wheel unless I’m neutral ? Rite

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  6 лет назад +5

      you can still coast in gear just fine. If you pull in the clutch, it will disengage and you can modulate just like a standard clutch. The biggest benefit is when you're really lugging the bike (maybe in some tight, technical terrain) and you don't want to worry about stalling the bike, this is where it really shines.
