@@FishingwithMrW Stopped piking on these pits years ago as the fishing as regards pike was now so poor it wasn't worth the time, you might want to try for cats in the summer, the remains of an upper thirty/low fourty were found several years ago and the odd smaller one still coming out!!
I never thought of slinging minced fish into the water for pike. I suppose the smell would bring them round. I didn't catch how far down from the float you place your bait?
Hi Rob I only use my sardine ground bait when I'm fishing with dead baits on the bottom and ye it is just a attracter and the oils should rise up in the in the water columns

I've had success with the kebab rig but defo need the double treble on. One treble through the hole in the end and one treble pressed into the meat
