      @Kaden Woods its a murder, possibly due to a mental episode. Maybe keep an eye on the guy and call the police. Especially if the guy is clearly shaken up and not running away like a normal criminal.

    • @kadenwoods3242
      @kadenwoods3242 Год назад +30

      @@kap1618 Eh, that's definitely the Girlfriend's duty. Its totally normal that the parents wanted both space from the guy that literally just murdered their child and to get said guy away from their remaining child. Also, while mental health issues are no joke they definitely don't excuse a person's actions. This being a horror movie about insects inhabiting children's bodies aside, the guy objectively caused a child's death. Not many people in real life would have much sympathy for the guy especially because it wasn't completely accidental(as the sister can attest.) The child was being a brat and hitting him with the shovel so he took it and hit the child back hard enough to kill them. That wouldn't be looked at as a oopsie.
      Anyhow... since we know that this is in fact a movie about some mystical insects taking over two children's body the above statement is meaningless but I think you might be getting reality of the situation confused. Murder, especially against a child, is quite a bit above a 'Aw, poor guy. The others should be helping him after his mental break'.

    • @kap1618
      @kap1618 Год назад +59

      @@kadenwoods3242 My rational is, that if a guy has a mental breakdown and kills a kid, you might want to keep an eye on him until the cops show up. I would understand attacking him but if left alone he might hurt someone else or kill himself. At least arrested he be off the streets and can't anyone. Maybe I just have a soft spot for the mentally ill and someone having an episode is vastly different than premeditated murder.

    Very frustrating movie, but excellent analysis from you. I don't always agree fully with your takes, but this one is spot on. Ben should've left the second he saw the kids get resurrected. As a guy who has similar mental health issues I'd be communicating with my doctors, partner, and friends that I saw something that didn't make sense and it was really impacting me. I'd be getting tf outta there to be evaluated ASAP.
    If my friends give me shit, they're not my friends. He should have leaned into whatever support system he had and been "selfish" about his mental health. If he ruined their getaway by bailing, well, that's better than him ruining it by having a breakdown in front of the kids or putting the kids in danger... Or, y'know, what ACTUALLY ended up happening.
    Sorry for the long comment, but there's nothing more agonizing than watching a character who has every reason to LEAVE and them continuing to stay and be tormented.

Take those away from him so I wouldn’t have to do it myself and I definitely get another adult to look for clues in the hole with me because I don’t know if I’m gonna get jumped if I go there alone and we could potentially bring back some proof that the actual kids are dead or have been replaced. Also record those kids in someway when you’re confronting them.

    Any chances for breakdown of one of the old Polish comedies called "Seksmisja"?
    Basically 2 lads being lab rabbits for hibernation test were sleeping A BIT too long (aka several decades) and they find out they're the only men left on the planet and female authorities want to either "naturalise" them (I guess it speaks for itself) or straight up kill them.
    Primary goal: Survive
    Secondary goal: Bring back the world to the previous state
    Also ending of the movie is so gold, that it's prohibited to show on RUclips screen.

      @@himedo1512 Yeah, why can't people just stop being autistic and depressed. Mental health can just be changed if you have the right mindset. And if people don't want to be with others who have mental problems they need to take into account, they aren't bad people, you just can't better yourself. If your friends abandon you because you went blind in an accident, just start controlling yourself better.

    • @projectpitchfork860
      @projectpitchfork860 Год назад +7

      @@himedo1512 Being depressed has nothing to do with negativity. But abandoning somebody because of a menral illness is something you can very well be blamed for.

    • @byletheisner5006
      @byletheisner5006 Год назад +18

      @@himedo1512 Shaming him for his mental illness is ludicrously grotesque: "the fault lies within you of your abandonment from your friends, because it is your fault you did not overcome your mental illness", his mental illness is not his fault and he is limited in what he can do or what he can accomplish and in how much time it would take to accomplish.
      And arguments such as "people have no obligation to deal with your mental illness" or "no one owns you anything" are basically worthless, stating what someone has the obligation to not do says nothing about the morality of said action. I would argue that being unwilling or unable to offer sufficient support for a friend of yours would make someone close to worthless as a friend, suitable merely as a pastime.

    • @radioraheem9820
      @radioraheem9820 Год назад +9

      @@projectpitchfork860 it doesn't happen over night but if you're depression or have autism you still have to work on how you conduct yourself around people. Your friends can help but they can't fix the problem for you.
      And negatively can play a part in depression. A negative family situation, financial, situation or outlook on life can all be factors that play a part of it
