  • Earth Day, on board the HMS Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, California.
April 22, 1993. Glenn Hughes performs one of Deep Purple's biggest hits, although, originally recorded with Ian Gillan on vocals, before Glenn's arrival.
Note before the song, he sings "Burn, baby, burn" a quick reference to his famous album and song with Deep Purple "Burn" which in my opinion, was an obvious attempt to build on their previous hit, Smoke On The Water.

It's funny how his falsetto screams sounds similar to Gillans. Nice vid, wish I was there!

I think Glenn is brilliant, and that he is much more versatile than Ian Gillan. Have you heard his first solo album, for example? It's called Play Me Out.

Glenn never reached note D6...so this is untrue...

measuring vocal notes are facts, your is just an opinion...I know both Glenn and Gillan vocals abilities and notes...and I repeat it: Glenn never reached Gillan's notes...plus I prefer Gillan's personality, voice, inventiveness, versatility, writing, peculiarity.
