What would the effect of not sanding fiberglass? I would like to laminate with fiberglass but would not look forward to sanding and getting all of those fibers on my skin or in my lungs.
I don’t think it would be problem as long your resin does not contain wax. I only applied two layers of clothe and did a light sanding, before applying a fairing compound to smooth out the surface. You should were a respiratory and googles when applying resin. Checkout Fish Bump RUclips channel and Boatworks. I used Boatworks products.
Apply a fill coat of plain resin by roller after the glass is slightly beyond tacky, then another coat slightly thickened with a lightweight fairing compound. When sanding, you wouldn't be removing much glass fiver at all. Use a shop vac on your sander and its not bad at all
