    Does anyone know the process that johns using at 1:55? not the wire and glue, the paste and shaping? fiber glass maybe? great vid btw. thanks :)

    in nz its known as "bog" or car filler. the shaping is done by hand. lots of hard work

    Traditionally, it's Clay laid over a foam and/or wire frame model.
    Search 'Automotive Clay modeling' on here. (Not my mis-spelling of modelling).
