Phil - Flatter roofs require more support as its lesser slope does not redirect roof loads as efficiently. Also, snow and rain loads shed off faster on steeper sloped roofs. Jamie
I have installed Onduline on the flat roof shed and I'm very pleased with it and how simple it was to install. I am now considering installing it on my summerhouse / office and adding some insulation would help to keep it cool in the summer. Can you tell what was the insulation you used? Thank You.
Thank you for your message and your interest in our products. The choice of insulation will depend on the performance you need. For instance, you can refer to the basic specification from Kingspan TW50 1200 X 450 X /100 or 25mm or for more general purpose the polystyrene EPS70 - 2400mm X 1200mm X 25mm as used in the video. Mike Shipman Thank you for your enquiry we are pleased to confirm the following: The Onduline roofing system when laid in accordance with our fixing instructions with sheets cut tight to the ridge line abutment will remain weatherproof in storm force wind conditions. So whilst it is possible to seal the corrugations with eaves corrugation filler strips at the ridge, this action will close the high level roof ventilation which unless other ventilation provision is made will result in a significant increased condensation risk within the building and is therefore not recommended. The Onduline instructional films available on line should be of assistance: www.onduline.co.uk/videos/ We hope these notes are of assistance.
Russell: Make sure you wear PPE, especially the hard hat. Richard: Naaaah. 😄

on a single pent shed, is there any add-on to create a drip at the top end to stop water ingress?
Wouldn't strong wind drive rain under the top ridge as there are gaps with the corrugated sheet and the flat ridge material?
Highly likely.

Just a quick question... Why does a flatter roof require attaching at 45cm and not 61cm points? What adds the need for this extra security?
wind load will be greater ......

My adventure with the tree began with projects from Stodoys.
Im asking as I am considering using Onduline and want to ensure it will be watertight.
