If hes $17,000 in arrears for the 8 years he didn't pay, then hes paid over $20,000 for a child that's not his and disrespects him even after she knows he wasnt her father. And he will never get that money back. And he may still be forced to pay arrears, even though its been proven that hes not the biological father. It's sad that he's in this position. Nope. He paid 10 years because he failed to take care of business - he didn't know if he was or wasn't the father. They don't pay back child support. My friend got a letter in the mail requesting child support for a child that he knew wasn't his. He made a few phone calls got a DNA test and they threw out the child support case.

Sadly don’t work that way u can sign a birth certificate and find out later u not the dad and still have to pay child support because you may not be the biological father but your the legal father because you signed that birth certificate
Chances are he won't get it back or get the arrears erased. But what's really sad is that he didn't put his name on the birth certificate, she did through the courts (default judgment), he turned out not to be the father and there's nothing he can do about it. MEN: If a woman tells you they're pregnant, if you get a notice in mail, are served with court papers, please do the responsible thing and take care of it. This is what happens when you DON'T!!!
He knew he was a potential father from day 1 instead of leaving going to college HE should have done the DNA test, those 5 appearances HE missed he should have showed up to ask for testing. However, he stated he never received a notice/letter, never appeared in court and that was not his last name (it’s spelled wrong) on the birth certificate. This is fraudulent. The mother stated/testified in a court of law, “the judge asked her who do you want to be the father?” And this was done without an court appearance or death certificate? I believe she stated this was Florida. Florida can’t count votes during the past five Presidential Elections: How is it they decide Mr. Downing is the father? If he is in the arrears and these payments are injuring his young child and maybe a spouse: He may have a case. He needs to lawyer up.

In some states it is difficult for the man to get his money back in situations like this because before he paid all those years he could have petitioned the court for a dna test back then. Continuing to pay that CS means he accepted the paternity claim (or the responsibility). Got a cousin going thru this now. I doubt FL giving him his money back.
Nope..two ways.. birth certificate or- the signature to participate make you eligible for the program.. because Child Support is a voluntary program and when he was being sued by the court he was supposed to show proof. According to the Supreme Court, child support supports grant funding and is not for the child and the mother. Its a contract between the state and the man. There was no crime committed so you have to volunteer in signature to participate. smh

She was blaming the daughter by insinuating that had she not brought up her concerns about wanting to know her biological father's identity & just accepted what she, the mom told her, then none of this would have happened. She most likely thinks that b/c the daughter is grown that she should've just left it alone. There have been other mothers on here to do the same exact thing by blamimg the child for their eventual exposure. This is out of total embarrassment of their "sluterrific" ways. Then, she blames the man & possibly the test administrators/court for tampering with the test. Smh...All that on top of the way she speaks, is too much. Nope. He paid 10 years because he failed to take care of business - he didn't know if he was or wasn't the father. They don't pay back child support. My friend got a letter in the mail requesting child support for a child that he knew wasn't his. He made a few phone calls got a DNA test and they threw out the child support case.

I understand Child Support varies from state to state. However, he stated he never received a notice/letter, never appeared in court and that was not his last name (it’s spelled wrong) on the birth certificate. This is fraudulent. The mother stated/testified in a court of law, “the judge asked her who do you want to be the father?” And this was done without an court appearance or death certificate? I believe she stated this was Florida. Florida can’t count votes during the past five Presidential Elections: How is it they decide Mr. Downing is the father?
If he is in the arrears and these payments are injuring his young child and maybe a spouse: He may have a case. He needs to lawyer up.

According to the Supreme Court, child support supports grant funding and is not for the child and the mother. Its a contract between the state and the man. There was no crime committed so you have to volunteer in signature to participate. smh
