I did black felt for the belts on mine. I kitbashed Reed, Sue and Johnny a few Springs ago. Wish I'd gone your route instead. An admirable job. Cheers!
Excellent work, to age the suit you could lightly soak it in a weak coffee and water solution, let it dry then rewash to get any coffee smell out. A black bag tie could also be used for a belt and the logo could be printed on iron on fabric so their are other ways to get this great figure.
I just finished mine two weeks ago using a FTC head ,suit ,boots, gloves from Dr mego site and the body was a new 2018 mego female it turn out awesome! all the parts are there u just have buy them from different sellers or sources GREAT VIDEO
Tulip Makes excellent Fabric Markers that are best for Coloring Mego Costumes. Do not use Acrylic Paint, as the acrylic paint makes the suit unnecessarily stiff and gives the suit a less than professional sheen. A good set of Tulip Markers (18 total) will run you $15. I always thought that the 4- emblem was a bit big for the uniform scale. I mean it covers almost the whole rib cage area, as what is seen in the comics. Plus I believe the Thing is abit shorter then the rest of the FF are. If anything, he should be towering over them a bit. I guess Mego got their money's worth outta the Fantastic Four. But yeah, great Job on the Invisible Girl.
The figure turned out really good. But I do hope at some point you can get an original MEGO figure. I have to make another order here soon from DR MEGO!!!!
I look at Dr Mego and FTC stores almost daily. So many great projects to do. I am still searching for an original Invisible Girl and hopefully someday I'll get her. Thanks for watching.
you can think that....but I think that Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl are two of the best figures that Mego made...the Invisible Girl has realistic features unlike batgirl....catwoman...wonder woman ....isis and the other blonde girl from dc who all look the same and have child like features.
Yes the body suit was a cheap route to make a Thing figure. But did you expect a new rocky muscle type 2 Mego body? Would have been great, but it wasn't in the cards. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. Great resources at Classic TV Toys and Dr. Mego's websites.
Do not use Sharpie. In time it will stain the plastic black. Same thing with the cloth costume. I will have used acrylic paint.
Good tip. Thanks.

If the emblem bothers you, you might try printing it off on a glossy sticker sheet!
Great tip. Thanks for watching.

The Fantastic Four line was a fail .
It's a shame that the Fantastic Four are now second tier characters. My first comic book was FF #177 and I never looked back. Thanks for watching.

I always wanted a Thing Mego figure to fight against my Hulk figure . Thaat was until I finally saw one ...a body suit ? What ?

Make your own invisible girl.
