    Other videos did not show the seat belt going thru the blue tab. This looks much better. Very helpful

    The seatbelts here in Japan do not fit around the Doona, thank you so much for showing an alternative. This has definitely been the best video I've watched

    Hi, is it more safe to put the belt behind that blue latch or its ok not doing this (as long as the lap belt runs across)?

    Should baby already be in the seat when you install it, or should you put baby in afterwards? If after, it seems that the seatbelt would get in the way. Suggestions?

      hi! Yes, it would be easier if the baby were already harnessed in before you do this install, hope it helps!

    Can you use this on a commercial flight? If you buy an extra seat on the plane.

    • @shoptadpole
      @shoptadpole  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! It is FAA certified to go on an airplane seat

    Do you put the baby in the seat before or after buckling? ie does baby go over or under the buckle?

    • @shoptadpole
      @shoptadpole  2 года назад +2

      hi! baby goes under the seatbelt ; ie. buckling baby in first will be easiest

    Have you tried pushing the base from left to right once its fully strapped in to see how far the base swings on the seat? You can push it half a foot to left and right, which is too much wiggle room unlike car seats that have higher safety ratings. If one were to sustain a t-bone like collision and considering how much sway there is left and right, i can imagine the doona launching the child out the seat.

    Actually, even installing is giving me problems. Is my seatbelt too short? I can click it, and put it by the bars, but when I have to put the rest around the car seat, around the back so it locks with that blue portion behind, my seatbelt literally does not reach. It does not go all the way back, even though I made sure to get the seat beat as far out as it lets me

      Hi! Try putting it around first and then getting behind the seat and pushing the seat with your body as you try to get in the lap belt and buckle (hope that makes sense!) . If you still cannot reach, you can use the airplane install method (min.2:26 in the video) where the lap belt portion only goes through the lap belt guides . Feel free to reach out with any additonal questions at 617-778-1788 Hope this helps, Ana

    Step 6 where did the shoulder belt portion magically appear from? Is it in all cars? Shouldn't you cover that in the demo as well?

      That’s just the normal seatbelt she was just showing an alternative option at the end where the seatbelt doesn’t have to go around the back of the car seat

    Does isofix maxi cosi base fit for doona

    • @mta01ajd
      @mta01ajd 2 года назад

      No, it has to be the official base (I have both). The way they fit together is quite specific, I doubt any other brand will work

      hi! if a car seat swings that much then one needs to tighten the seatbelt more or use a base with it to avoid such wiggle and potential injury

    • @jordyyy2014
      @jordyyy2014 2 года назад +1

      That sounds like a user error, there should be less than an inch of wiggle room at the belt path…

    • @shoptadpole
      @shoptadpole  11 месяцев назад +2

      Hi there. Unbuckle first, then remove the lap portion of the belt from underneath the belt guides and the rest of the seatbelt should come out easily after that

    I can't lock the seat belt retractor for my car - a kia forte/cerato 2015. Can I still use this method?

    • @shoptadpole

      Hi there, you have to use a locking clip if your seatbelt doesn’t lock and you’re installing this seat without the base
