    Thanks. You helped me figure out my 2008 had a bad relay. 8 dollars next day and I bought a pack of 4 with 5 pins,works like a charm because there is an empty slot for that 5th one. Also I wasn't able to tap on mine and make it run it just wouldn't but after I put 12 volts through the middle one and it made it come on I knew. Thanks again. Also I noticed mine was coming on then stopping then coming on the day before it just stopped working, i bought mine with the radiator relocated and snorkeled so I could see it easy

    Nice vid good info thanks. If your not keen on removing all the back to access the circuit breaker you can remove the plastic tool box and gain access thru that way (just one screw at the bottom .

    Excellent video. Curious why that relay would go bad?

    • @homie6166

      constant on/off many times would cause it to wear out quicker than other ones nothing electronic lasts forever especially switch contacts in the relay and the electromagnet in the relay and theirs springs in it that can wear out over time and heat and the cold

    That doesn’t totally make sense. Any atv if it’s running warm you can turn the engine off and leave the key on so that the fan runs and cools down the radiator. If that thermostat is jumped and the key is on the fan should run.

  • @joe4534

    Having overheating on 2004 600 grizzly, heard the fan running so assumed it was OK and started thinking weak water pump. Your viedo helped will now jump temp sensor to confirm fan running continuously. Any thoughts on troubleshooting water pump and thermostat. I started rig cold with radiator cap off and waited to heat up trying to see increase flow through radiator as the thermostat should have opened. Didn't see what I expected as more water flow. After testing fan will replace thermostat and waterpump. Am I overlooking anything else I should check?

    • @savagebeast8476
      @savagebeast8476  Год назад

      Before replacing anything you should check both sides of the radiator, feel the hoses and verify they are both getting hot. If they are then it's flowing coolant. Water pumps on these machines don't really become weak because they are so basic. They either work or they leak "pretty much ". But also make sure the actual radiator fins are clean, if it's plugged up with mud etc it's going to run really hot. Then you need to continue to follow it through. Also how is the coolant level? I'm thinking it's ok considering what you have done, but also has that ever been changed? Because coolant does deteriorate over time, especially if it's original. Before buying parts you have to verify everything. Hopefully this helps.... thank you

    I'm not positive what they may have changed on other models, but they might have mounted them in another location... should still be close to the battery and fuses etc.... Thanks
