Bruce they have done a great job of keeping the place we maintained on the outside and inside the new roof looks outstanding the workmanship that went into that, such skilled tradesmen.

Very historic place, though in reality I think King Billy only spent a few hours there when he landed. Castle is very well maintained, and your drone footage was excellent. I remember a stamp with the picture of the castle on it! I must be getting old!! Regards, Ashley

Not sure Ashley how long he stayed, he landed on the 14th of June to take over command of the army and then faced James on the 1st of July in Drogheda you have me thinking now maybe look into it. The castle is In fantastic shape they really look after it, as far as the stamp I remember seeing one before in the 90s.

yes, i remember the one in the 90s but the one I was thinking of was black, half crown, probably 60s!! Shows my age. Castle condition is superb, there's not many that age in such good nick.

Hi rode past many times on my bike travels. Stopped and took photos of it and the tank. Next time I will go in. Whats the cost of entry. Came down spiral stairs in King John's Castle in Limerick in full biking gear. Now that was a challenge. Was happy I made it. 😅

Hi Alan good to hear from you hope all is well, the cost is only £6.00, full bike gear on on a spiral staircase that's impressive 👍.
