I heard you mention Tauranga ehoa. We have been trying to get maori housed on maori land out in Papamoa. But our Trust has given consent to have our land sand mined instead and a health and safety sticker has been place on the land. So how on earth do you get a Maori Trust like this to think "Papakainga"
It depends on the quality of the land - majority of Māori land is suitable for agriculture or horticulture and in terms of land out Papamoa or closer to Te Puke they tend to be low lying and food hazards lands. This means that it becomes extremely expensive to elevate the land to be suitable to develop papakainga on it which sometimes results in trust to choose alternatives
That sounds great, but only hope this project/process is 100% SELF funded by Maori for Maori and NOT to use 1c of non -Maori tax payer money. That would be seem as well, I dont need to say the word!!!
Can you build Papa kainga on general land owned by Maori
Definitely vote for freedom
This is exciting stuff. So cool going to take this to the hapu.
Awesome
Nga mihi nui. Viictoria. Clearly a Demonstration of Matauranga Maori. Most encouraging amid the usual doom & gloom of media reports.
