Im from south of ireland and farming no one in this part of the world doing what you do,a lot of big contractors around here ,balers, pit gear, spud farmers ,a bit of every thing ,a lot of farmers too,if a machine breaks down no one around to go too to get a machine and carry on ,love your videos
I’m at an age when them Dexter’s were brand new, needless to say they appeal to me to this day tremendously, especially when my mum and dad couldn’t afford a new one or second hand for that matter, consequently at the time we were stuck with a petrol/paraffin cropmaster, fergy and e27n, l think you can see where am coming from 🙂
You got some big boots to fill there michael lol Good luck Chris, speedy recovery, hope to see you in new year Nice escape bench you have there Leave your mobile in the office, it could become a great escape bench There's a GAP to sort out on that tool valve lol Keep the updates coming 60% today, issues over medical appointments Stay safe all Geoff
Yes farmers and contractors in lreland would appreciate your hire company here in lreland.thw southeast and midlands dublin area would be a prime spot. Athlone is mid lreland alot of work coming down the tracks thetr
Ireland would be very different to England for machinery hire . Our farmers and contractors carry a lot of equipment, maybe it’s something that could work but I’d be very hesitant to invest a lot of money setting up premises without really looking into it first, hiring grain and silage trailers on a big scale isn’t really done here , however for tax purposes and practicality it probably should be especially now with trailers costing so much more to purchase and then sit in a shed for 11 months a year
Hiring in ireland is not wwhat they do....selling yes but they dont expect to pay until the forced to plus dont expect to get planning for a goods yard easily on a farm..very inlikely if its coming out on to a main road...people are nice....but its not lincolnshire
@GCSMachinery , having followed you and your successful business...I think the best paying hire for you is long term in my opinion in Ireland you would be more short term , which once you add on delivery and collection charges become expensive. Nothing beats a try , you also have to consider who you put in charge as where at the minute U are 100% in charge and know exactly what's going on . If you are to branch out you'll need a dam good trusted manager. Remember Big is not alway beautiful....quality of life and not alway quantity is important.
There is no great culture of your model in Rep of Ireland I’m sure you would make a success of it you would have great crack with customer base lots of fans in Ireland

Hi Michael Nice one Thanks again
We don’t really have a Agri hire culture developed in Ireland beyond tractors and then it is mainly from a few large main dealerships

I would think long and hard in regards to Ireland. There are still issues over there which don't get press coverage.
His business won't work in ireland
Irish farmers are notoriously slow payers his business model wouldn't work
Post code area check where your customer clusters are and then you will get a better idea.
You have a good young lowloader driver very tidy load dan

Not a hire culture in Ireland , they tend to buy / lease from the machine manufacturer.
