This March 2023, I was on my way back from EBC and met your guide in a tea house. We'd stopped there for lunch and he was sitting right across my table. I introduced myself and told him about your video and also told him how we ended up singing "Resham Firiri" throughout our trekking. The guide was so humble and I took a selfie with him before leaving...
Brilliant film, enjoyed every second. I did the trek (traditional route) 4 years ago at age 67. Life affirming and spirit altering. I wept like a baby when I had to say goodbye to our porters and sherpa and the Himalaya. You cannot experience it without coming home changed. You brought it all back to life for me and for that I am grateful. Take care and safe journeys.
This is by far the best EBC documentary I have ever seen. I am a fan of people that show their struggle and not pretend to be a hero up in the mountains. Fair play to you and your mate. I also applaud you for looking after your guide. He seem like a gem
Mad respect for praising Dilak as the mvp. Those guys work very very hard, and their job is usually a thankless one, at least from all the docs wee see on the net. Kudos to all of you!
I've watched many EBC treks and yours has been the best, showing the tea houses, food, baths and honesty about difficulty of the elevation. I also liked the info about guides, cost and your respect for their jobs. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Man I’m proud of you guys. I’m a 59-year-old veteran US Marine, and you’ve motivated me to begin training to accomplish this incredible feat. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Bro... this was amazing. You and your cousin are so humble and full of humility. You guys are actually secure with being imperfect human beings. This was a huge breath of fresh air.
Counting Countries , bro you are a very humble guy too. Delok met his match in humility. You hardly ever complain about anything. Delok understands hospitality and humility. I hope we see more of him in the future
I've suddenly been watching a lot of great mountain climbing videos on youtube and most have been tragedies on Everest peaks and K2 so this was a welcome change up. I trekked through the Annapurna circuit in 1997, up and down and up and down 5 days, definitely was done after 5 days due to foot blisters... definitely a workout physically and mentally, definitely the most amazing views of mountains and the initial actual plane ride for me into Katmandu was scary but so cool to see these beautiful peaks peaking up beyond the clouds in a plane. Trekking was more than enough for me at the lower Annapurna levels. i personally would never climb great heights in the snow...I respect Mother Nature too much and in fact fear her greatly ever since almost dying the first afternoon of our trek when a wall of a sudden hail storm pounced upon us literally out of nowhere. The hail was somewhere between the size of marbles and a golf ball, we were bleeding and getting almost concussed...still not sure how we made it to that chicken shack for shelter. not a great way to start a five day trek. Thanks for showing us that people can see those same mountains and have a real adventure without super extremes. Never underestimate the power of a sudden turn in weather.
Everest has always fascinated me and that includes the Everest base camp trek. At almost 65 years old and not in good physical condition I can only experience it through videos such as yours. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video and allowing me to trek with you.
Thank you Lily for commenting on this incredible video of each trek. We appreciated it. And we assure to make thsi trip happen for you to conquer this trek, you can see our special offer of this program, the link is given in the description of this beautiful video.
Very informative. Picturesque. Loved how you broke down costs from tour guides and what was included. Loved the meal times. I’m a 71 yo female who backpacked from Bali to UK in 1975. Brought back memories of my time in Nepal. Thank you for your amazing video 😃
Thank you so much for this beautiful video! I watch a lot of these, because I hiked this trail myself in 1991 and most of the video's are so rushed and short. Love it too how enthousiastic and positive you are! In 1991 we took a bus from Kathmandu to Jiri and started to walk there. We had a book from Lonely Planet about the trail and we only got lost two times. It was not so common back then to use a guide or a porter. All the people we met on the trail were walking by themselves. It was not so busy too, we met approximately 20 other hikers in those weeks. There was no electricity in the villages, only candlelight, except in Namche - which was weird too, and the power broke several times in one evening. But, most important: the views, the people and the food are still the same! I loved the Dahl Bat Tarkaari and the Tibetan bread with eggs. I carried a walkman on which I could also record something and one night in a lodge we sang with a Nepalese family, recorded it and played it back, that was such a party! I still have this recording, where the children sing this song: Resham Firiri, so very nice to hear your guide sing that! Thanks so much!!
I can't believe this doesn't have more views. Very well made, not a single dull moment. Thank you for taking us with you. You have a new subscriber from the Philippines. ✌🏼🙏🏼👍🏻
I cannot believe that I watched the entire documentary! It was so interesting and I just kept watching to see what was going to happen next. Your guide and pack guy were BOSS! I'm proud of you guys! Now I need for you to let the wife do some traveling and you have an adventure with baby boy! 😂 No, I'm for real about the last part 😊
This trek is something special. I did it with a group of people this past June and it was by far the best adventure I’ve ever been on! Our flight had a detour so we landed in Phaplu instead of Lukla and had to start our trek from there in the middle of monsoon season. Definitely a challenge, but was absolutely the time of my life!
Just saw this on 9/17/23. What an amazing trip and video presentation. You guys were so much fun, so mellow and so respectful of the people and surroundings. Your Sherpa, Delak..sp? Was so humble and friendly and truly a life saver. This was a great video. So many I’ve seen have such weird, loud music and trekkers acting like jerks, embarrassing us back in the USA. Thank you for this beautiful view of your amazing journey.
I loved this so much! I have watched countless doco’s on climbing the big peaks, but have never watched a trek to EBC. You have set the bar high! Thank you for taking us all along for the ride, it was incredible viewing, and congratulations on hitting all the personal milestones. You have a new subscriber (from Sydney, Australia)🙌
I always sleep to Everest climbs but finally came across your amazing entry. You keep the viewer captured, documenting the culture, lifestyle and spectacular scenes every step of the way. I made a point of watching every moment and can only congratulate you and your cousin for an epic journey. Thank you for taking us with you. My only problem is, you make it look so easy! Well done.
Terrific documentary! A friend made the trek in the mid ‘80s. It seemed very exotic at the time. Your vlog is great for those who are preparing for the trip, and for those who will only make the journey vicariously. The trek to EBC seems far more enjoyable than to attempt to climb Everest (which seems to be something to survive rather than enjoy). You and Sam are great. Thanks for sharing.
I literally cried after i saw your video. I m living in abroad. And just wanted to hug you. You knowfar more better than most of us. Maybe in past life you were Nepalese.. You love towards nepal is just❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
First time ive ever watched a trek and this video was outstanding. Watched every second of it. Thanks for taking us along! Im truly humbled by your humility and kindness!
I would miss the trekking guide so bad and cry upon leaving him 😢 I love him and I have never met him he is such a sweetheart and your porter was a beast not to mention the Mountains and all that great food. I think you were right that yak cheese on the pizza that one day probably made you a bit sick! I will have to watch your next trek do more of Nepal I love the culture ❤❤
This was wonderful to watch. I’m 69 years old and pretty much disabled. I enjoy watching things that I know I will never do. I’ve watched several of the base hikes but yours is the best. You’re just so happy and thankful and positive. I will subscribe today. Would like to see more of your videos. Thank you
Great video. I was at Gorak in 2015 when the earthquake hit, while we never made it to EBC the experience was both amazing and heartbreaking. The Nepalese people are the kindest you will ever meet and took care of us under such devastating circumstances. You brought back how cold the tea houses were… book a trip to Kilimanjaro….I’d love to relive that one!
I’m not a documentary watcher by any means, but i thoroughly LOVED THIS and enjoyed watching the entire two hours of this!!!! He was such a pleasant tour guy! I look forward to watching more journeys!
If I'm reading you right, October is your birthday month! So Happy Birthday Jordan!!! I've loved every bit of the time you've shared with us! I often smiled when I saw your joy at being there in these magnificent landscapes, also your Humble, True, Refreshing attitude and this beautiful way of rubbing shoulders with Thalak your guide, also a beautiful personality. Your passion for the beauty of nature and the beautiful human encounters that I share with you.... Just before you jumped into the water (very quickly :) you and your cousin (I thought you were brothers, so much alike you are... even if he has more hair on his head than you :) I wondered if you didn't have a sudden craving for that beautiful high mountain water! And splash you both go! Bravo ! I go to watch your climbing Fuji San ! You win a new subscriber ! So long ! Pat
I read books about this trek. Very very nice to watch you enjoy it! I used to fantasize that I would cook meat for the guides so they could enjoy after a long day at work!
Firstly, I want to express gratitude for sharing your journey with the RUclips world….The resources and tools available today truly allow people like me to venture beyond the northern Arizona desert. by just clicking play Having resided in South Lake Tahoe for several years, I've cherished its natural beauty. trails and trek that will for ever live on….but your documentary history of this incredible place on the other side of the world surpasses anything I've ever encountered. Your genuine encounters along this trek and your reverence for the sacred grounds, the people, mountains, and your own well-being, were palpable. It prompted me to consider embarking on a similar adventure, especially as I approach my 65th birthday in a few weeks. Your embodiment of the spirit of Namaste is truly commendable. Thank you for dedicating the time to edit and document your journey, providing a rare experience few have had the privilege to encounter.
This is a super long video of 2 hours 14 minutes. It is worth watching every day the progress made! Thanks for sharing your journey every step of the way. Great work!
Great video. I've been toying with the idea of doing the EBC trek for years, a bit afraid of the alt sickness, went horse trekking on the Tibetan Plateau 20+ years ago & were above 5000m for some time, then camped. It was fabulous except from the excruciating headache that kept me up all night, thought I was dying! 😂Luckily, it was mostly gone the next day & the guides baked us fresh bread on the campfire for breakfast! The best bread I've ever tasted! Guides are amazing!
Wow, this video randomly came up for me, and even though it is late, I watched the whole thing in one sitting! Amazing adventure. Loved every minute of seeing these beautiful Nepalese villages, breathtaking mountains, glaciers, Everest, and base camp through your experiences! Totally mind blowing, and your guide is so sweet and kind! All those snickers and Oreos haha! Thank you! I am now a subscriber :)
I watched the video as if it were a movie. I couldn't even step away for a bathroom break; you truly captivated the audience with your storytelling. Thank you so much for sharing. :))
Amazing documentary, beautiful photography and great editing, right amount of comments and background music (which can be so annoying when there's too much of it), and these two guys seem to be such nice people, so personable, not at all self-centred or narcissistic (unlike some vloggers/youtubers can be unfortunately). So there's Jordan (with his endearing enthusiasm about everything, including cakes (!) and I love how he responds to animals and uses the word "cute" a lot!), but who is the other guy? Jordan's brother? They look a bit alike - he has a very quiet but very pleasant presence too. I have subscribed, I hope I did it the right way - I'm 70 years old and hate technology! Look forward to watching another of Jordan's docos!
This video stands out from the rest because of your attention to detail, like showing your food dishes up close, the bathroom/showers at the tea-houses, you're walking around basecamp. I can't believe you guys did the 20 mile trip on the return, I never would have in a million years, and then having to deal with a 5 hour trip at the end, I would have gone out of my mind!
Thank you for letting us live vicariously through your experience/video. Also, being so open and respectful to the culture of the people, learned a lot, and fortunate to see the little details of their lives.
Now this trip makes sense to me. I could do this since I've never climbed anything higher that 4500 meters. It's wonderful to be surrounded by beauty, sleep in a bed at night after a good meal. I am amazed by people who climb Everest, get a photo and go home, but it's truly insane to me.
Thank you so much for taking us along this track. Truly inspired to do this. I am not a climber, but I walked the Camino de Santiago in 4 weeks. It was an incredible experience. And climbed the Zugspitze on a spontaneous decision during a day trip with only sneekers on. It has been a while. Hence, it was inspiring. It's perfect. Thank you!! 🙋🏽♀️
We just finished our EBC trek , my wife and I had an amazing time with guide Tilak , he is absolutely amazing guide and now our friend and little brother in Nepal . Namaste , going back to Florida . We will miss Tilak and his warm hospitality.
Many thanks for sharing your experience with such honest clarity, attention to detail and great storytelling. Congratulations on the editing and soundtrack - not easy on a 2h video! I will be trekking to EBC in 2 weeks and your documentary was probably the best I've seen on YT "information-wise". Heard you plan to climb the mountain next time... good luck!
Best vlog ever !!!!! I’m now subscribed and just in the middle of watching all your vlogs now. You deserve millions of views they are that good, r u really thinking of climbing Mount Everest ? If so when ?
Fantastic goal. I just now watched you climb up the rainbow mountain vlog, oh boy did you not feel well, I can’t imagine only feeling like you have 10% lung capacity, your dad and the little girl looks like they did it no problems at all ? Must just affect people differently. Back to watching more of your vlogs, binge watching like Netflix lol so good well done
You are such an inspiration sir. This trip was well documented and it feels like traveling with you. Thanks for sharing your amazing journey. Congratulations on making it to the EBC safe.
Simply amazing! I am now old and broken and need a cane and crutches to walk but I am with you in spirit and enjoying your treks and journeys vicariously! Thank you for sharing your adventures so some of us that can no longer hike, climb or even walk can enjoy the journey with you and enjoy the humor, the beautiful people and places. I used to be an adventurer and consider myself one of you by nature and experience. Much love to you and yours and please stay safe! I will continue to participate by watching your videos and look forward to your next adventure! Thank you again!
From Nepal, woke up every morning looking at golden Dhaulagiri. It was super pretty, but only realized what I had (by default) was the best thing in the world when reaching there needed a planning and time from limited time off from corporate world. Your personally made documentary surpasses a Hollywood made award winning documentary, for me. Great narration, coverage, honesty, humor, and humanity at bare minimum. Truly enjoyed it from beginning to the end. If you please comment on what you packed and what worked what not, that would be very helpful. Planning for September. Thank you!
Fabulous documentary ~ thanks for taking me along to places I’ll never get to visit. I have to be satisfied hiking in my beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains ⛰. Your documentary skills are A+⛰
Thank you for sharing this journey with us. This was my favorite Everest documentary I’ve ever seen. I’ve also just added this trip to my bucket list. And I’m sending this link to all my friends. You’ve inspired a lot of life changing affirmations in my life through your travels and videos.
This was an absolute **EPIC video**! Very well done!! I LOVE travelling and I've always dreamed about doing this famous trek to Everest Base Camp...but due to health issues, I know that it will not be possible for me. Watching your detailed video was almost like being there myself. You did an awesome job filming and capturing this journey (the flights, the trek, the guides, the accommodations, the meals, the experience, etc....)...it was (almost) like being there, without being there! Kudos, you are living the dream!
To start with I have to have to admit that its by far one of the most engaging and informative coverage of the EBC out of many i have tried my luck with. Jordan, you have nailed it Bro! As my team and I are preparing for the track Apr'24 Mid, your coverage has given us tons of in-depth details. We have also engaged Alpine Rumbles team, going by your experience and recommendations. I haven't been able to figure out your month/date of travel to connect the dots with my planned date of Mid April and map the various aspects like weather, for my schedule. Please suggest your dates of travel. Any special notes if you wanted to share for my schedule (from any aspect) would be more that worthy. My scheduled date is 18-30 Apr'24.🤝
This is by far one of the best videos I've ever seen. Great job and thank you for always tried to keep it real meaning not only showing the positive sides. Congratulations for your awesome journey. You, your cousin, your guide and your porter shared one true adventure that many of us could only dream of. Many thanks again.
Wow! I am obsessed watching Mt. Everest Videos and your video is the first video I've watched that is day 1, day 2, day 3 etc. So much respect for the locals who carry the heavy packs filled with supplies, cook the food and everything else they do to make these hikes possible. *I'm going to have to try tea with ginger, lemon and honey.
It’s June 2nd 2023. I’ve been watching this ALL DAY. I pause a lot to watch my youngest grandson lol But it’s 7pm now and just now finishing lol! This was AMAZING. Thanks 🙏🏽 so much for taking us along with you!
I am compelled to firstly thank you for allowing me to re -live the greatest adventure Ive ever had.....and secondly to congratulate you on the best, most honest, and breathtakingly beautiful coverage of the EBC trip. This has been so enjoyable to watch, your video covered so much of the small details that most people miss, but these are the details that live with you vividly once you do this epic trip. Thank you so much, massive respect to you.😊🤙☘

He's wonderful..!so much positive energy. De-lock as I heard his name as! Is it spelled Dilak?
Absolutely
Even I am Nepalese, I have not seen beauty of my country. Thank you so much for publicity of Nepal’s as well as world’s famous “The Mount Everest”❤❤❤❤

This was wonderful to watch. I’m 69 years old and pretty much disabled. I enjoy watching things that I know I will never do. I’ve watched several of the base hikes but yours is the best. You’re just so happy and thankful and positive. I will subscribe today. Would like to see more of your videos. Thank you
You deserve more 🙂 love from Himalayan country 🇳🇵🏞️⛰️🙌
Much love!!
Thank you for detailing the whole trip. ❤❤. Tempting to make this trip.😅.
I love how you have a huge smile on your face during severe turbulence.
I’m not a documentary watcher by any means, but i thoroughly LOVED THIS and enjoyed watching the entire two hours of this!!!! He was such a pleasant tour guy! I look forward to watching more journeys!
thx for sharing your adventure. Good narration, videography, and content. Enjoyed it.

So long !

Wow I watched this full video and I'm only say it's a heaven ❤
I read books about this trek. Very very nice to watch you enjoy it! I used to fantasize that I would cook meat for the guides so they could enjoy after a long day at work!
Glad that you liked the video :)
Firstly, I want to express gratitude for sharing your journey with the RUclips world….The resources and tools available today truly allow people like me to venture beyond the northern Arizona desert. by just clicking play
Having resided in South Lake Tahoe for several years, I've cherished its natural beauty. trails and trek that will for ever live on….but your documentary history of this incredible place on the other side of the world surpasses anything I've ever encountered.
Great work!
Do I want to trek Everest? No. Is this a great doc? Yes!!!
Love your positive outlook and respect for these cultures. Namaste 🙏
That means a lot thank you!
I watched the video as if it were a movie. I couldn't even step away for a bathroom break; you truly captivated the audience with your storytelling. Thank you so much for sharing. :))
Porters and guides/sherpas are such amazingly nice people, i love them and respect them so much, they give me faith in humanity tbh
This was an awesome video!
You two have such a good vibe, I hope you keep having amazing adventures like this one, much love from Colombia ♥
I live in Tampa and do a solo EBC in Sept.
I just book this same trip with Tilak for Nov 2024!!
Excellent video, I just came across your channel and I am so happy I did. Thank you for sharing your experience with us 👏 New subscriber here 👍
Many thanks for sharing your experience with such honest clarity, attention to detail and great storytelling.
Ahh thank you so much!! Means a lot. Hopefully within next two years!!
Absolutely Gorgeous Breathtaking Views and Culture!!!
I would go... just for the joyful cultural and Breathtaking Views Experience!!!
Great video! There is not a single boring moment in these 2 hours. Thank you for documenting such a difficult trip.👍👍🌼🌼💖💖
hi friend iam from India🇮🇳 love you great views🙏🙏👍👍👍
Your documentary skills are A+⛰
Thank you so much 🙏🏽❤️
Thank you so much for making this documentary just love the way you cover everything ,best documentary till the date
Thank you for sharing this journey with us. This was my favorite Everest documentary I’ve ever seen. I’ve also just added this trip to my bucket list. And I’m sending this link to all my friends. You’ve inspired a lot of life changing affirmations in my life through your travels and videos.
Incredible vlog n must say your porter is the best
This was an absolute **EPIC video**! Very well done!! I LOVE travelling and I've always dreamed about doing this famous trek to Everest Base Camp...but due to health issues, I know that it will not be possible for me. Watching your detailed video was almost like being there myself. You did an awesome job filming and capturing this journey (the flights, the trek, the guides, the accommodations, the meals, the experience, etc....)...it was (almost) like being there, without being there! Kudos, you are living the dream!
Awesome blog! Very informative and you speak eloquently. You also appears to be a cool person
Excellent video with great background music!
Wow that was a great video loved it
It’s June 2nd 2023. I’ve been watching this ALL DAY. I pause a lot to watch my youngest grandson lol But it’s 7pm now and just now finishing lol!
This was AMAZING. Thanks 🙏🏽 so much for taking us along with you!
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you so much, massive respect to you.😊🤙☘
Thank you so much! I appreciate that
Best documentary av watched in 2024... big up to Dilak
Loved it! I feel like I’ve actually done the 12 days with you! Thanks!
Dilak made me cry. What a beautiful human!! Great video!!
