Night Ranger is opening for Foreigner and Journey this summer!! Looking forward to the show!!! Live Nation has the schedule and tix -- tons of dates all over the country -- the "Eclipse Tour!" Rock on everybody!!!
I say these guys in Pickerington, OH. They ROCKED! I can't believe I saw them 20 years ago, and they STILL Rock in America! Sure, it was a free show, but they played their hearts out. That's something you just don't see with today's artists.
Hell yes, THIS is the Night Ranger I grew up on. I'm going to pick this CD up on payday. WELL done, boys. You've still got it! This puts the crap on the radio to shame.
To see them play this was awesome. To see Brad Gillis (Red Guitar player in the video) play 2 feet from me was amazing. To get his pick playing this song was something that only happens once in a lifetime. Rock On Brad, Joel, Kelly, Jackie, and Eric!
This is such a classic Night Ranger sound. It totally ROCKS! I love the keyboards weaving their way throughout the song, and the guitar solos are killer!
For those of you who don't like the song, i encourage you to "let it grow" on you. I didn't care for it at first, but i found myself coming back to it and now it is one of my favs right now. The lyrics are really easy to remember and are stuck in my head. It may sound commmercial, but thats better than Godsmack, FFDP, etc crap
I keep listening to this. This is really growing on me. Can't wait to see these guys in Cleveland - Blossom baby! I haven't seen them since Seven Wishes - front row!
This band always takes me back to when I was 17 years old back in the day. Nice to see that my old friends are still in good shape and can still play! You can still rock in America!
Great song!! If you grew up with these guys like I did and you're familiar with the Beach Boys and the whole California vibe you'll get it and love it too. Solid tune.
Whoa.. I thought Fitz rejoined the band there for a second! What a summer for music.. Night Ranger, The Outfield, Journey.. the list goes on.. Going to be incredible!
This Native California girl approves! The ocean shots with the yellow flowers reminds me of some of my favorite photographs at Bodega Bay! :) Love the fact that they're local fellows! :)
"local".... :) California alone is 11 times as big as "my" country, it rather sounds odd to hear in that case someone say oh yeah, they're a "local" band. In Belgium, your local wound mean a band somewhere in the South of France or almost somewhere in Denmark...
song and video of the year! iilove Nightranger! going to Rammstein and Lita Ford this week, will be crank'n the mighty Night Ranger in the parking lot party!!
I heard this the other night when I took a walk and I first thought that it was Sammy Hagar. I deserves to get more airplay than it is. Brad and jack still have their chops. Welcome back guys.
Dude! this song has the same energy as some of the early 80's stuff...very cool...Jack Blades and the guys have Refound the formula for sure, gonna check out this album,..this single is rockin..!
Yeh Baby! way to go guys....I seen Them Live many times recently and Blades sounds as good as he did back when I was 25 and I'm 50 now..and with the A\addition of Joel Hoekstra, the Guitars with Brad are simply better than or just as great as there were back then..
It's almost a year after the release of this song and I'm watching/hearing it for the first time. Damn, they sound the same now as they did in the 80s, AWESOME TUNE
Somewhere out there, Chuck Nelson from Largo, Florida, who disappeared into the world out there somewhere, sees this and shares it with his kids. All the best old friend from Jayme, Paul and myself... Mons V in Tampa...for validation
That shot of Eric waxing the board at 0:51 is priceless. He plays their muse so well and he cracks me up. I fell in love with this band at age 14 - I was 14 in '82 in Long Beach California and when I heard NR I said that's what I want to be......and to quote Rock Springfield I wanted to "write music about girls to get girls" BUT finding other musicians with THIS kind if interest in music was nearly impossible as it Glam, punk like Black Flag and Social D, or about this time Metallica and EVERYONE wanted to be metallica.....though slayer was from Long Beach (so was sublime but they were late bloomers even though my age and I had Bud Gaugh in English class and Gene Hoglan the atomic clock in a couple classes) I have 7 kids, none violent and none so far with major bizarro hang ups, but I have NO idea what is wrong with these kids shooting up schools. I was ALL about chasing girls (catching them sometimes :-) , music (it was the '80's in So Cal and we were ALL in a band of some kind it seemed - I was a drummer then) and then sports in that order. That was my life and I was white but dirt poor, the oldest of 8 kids and we had nothing especially no "white privilege" and I did not graduate HS but still managed to put myself through med school when all is said and done AND as I sit here I have my white Strat with a original floyd rose in my hands watching NR. Part of us never grows up, but I still respect people, and never felt like shooting, or blowing anyone up. Something not right today. THE ONE CONNECTION THEY IGNORE 100% WITH ALL OF THESE KIDS -from the movie theater batman dude, to all the school shooters is they are boys from divorced families. And the divorce is always in their formative years 8yo -about 12 yo......YOU look it up. THAT is a common thread besides computer games.
I want to know who mixed this album. It's great to hear Jack's bassline so prominent. I really like the keyboard in the forefront during the verses, very similar to "Rock in America." Plus, a strong guitar rideout reminds me of Neal Schon. Killer tune. Can't wait for the whole album. It's my Father's Day gift this year!!!
it July 2019 now I hope you have come to California Lita. its not the same as it once was when I grew up here along time ago Northern California is your best bet to enjoy what California has to offer visit Fort Bragg, the Lost Coast, The Redwoods and the Wine Country also visit Morro Bay, Avila Beach and Pismo Beach thats the area where I grew up.
Great Jam,never knew they had new music out !! WTF is with our Classic Rock radio stations !! they don't play the new stuff, aren't they suppose to support our Classic Rocker's!!! They Piss me Off!! this is a Great Jam!!!
Saw these guys about a month ago--felt so bad they were practically apologizing for playing new stuff--it is better than anything else new on the radio. Next time, hoping half the concert is new for them and Journey too. Still more talented than 95% of the garbage on the radio. My kids, 14, 12 and 9 loved them! A new generation is waiting for some real music that is not Lady Gag Me!
@liquidtenor - Blades and Tommy Shaw have been doing some stuff for the past few years. Nuge joined them a couple of times as well. I think there was some talk of reuniting, but I haven't heard any follow up to that.
I'm glad to hear a return to the classic Night Ranger sound. :57 -- You know pharmacists now have glycerin suppositories and fiber supplements to help you with that, Brad. :)
@Screaminsaint From what I saw of Joel on RUclips before he joined Night Ranger, he still had that same Goldtop Les Paul. Search for Joel Hoekstra and look at the first link. Also, Joel really kicks ass. Last time I saw them with Jeff, on Jeff's last tour, he played awesome, but did not seem to be having fun. Joel really lets loose and has a lot of fun, and that helps with the energy of the whole band.
Good to see these guys haven't lost a step over all these years! I grew up listening to this guys!!
Night Ranger still rocking 40 years later !!!

No, the song just stinks. I didn't need to let The Boys of Summer or Sentimental Street "grow" on me, lol.
Thank god for Frontiers Music without them I'm afraid of what may happen to the music industry!!!
I keep listening to this. This is really growing on me. Can't wait to see these guys in Cleveland - Blossom baby! I haven't seen them since Seven Wishes - front row!

Great song!! If you grew up with these guys like I did and you're familiar with the Beach Boys and the whole California vibe you'll get it and love it too. Solid tune.
One of the greatest melodic rock songs ever written...full stop!!!
One of the first bands I really liked and I'm still rocking with them today.
Whoa.. I thought Fitz rejoined the band there for a second! What a summer for music.. Night Ranger, The Outfield, Journey.. the list goes on.. Going to be incredible!
Respect to Nightranger still going after all these years....................
song doesn't suck so bad when you're missing California like an old lover who you left and didn't realize how amazing it was.
Great tune, driving guitars, plenty of energy and hooks, NR can still rock all over the world

Growing up in Southern California in the Monterey Bay area were the best years of my life
I heard this the other night when I took a walk and I first thought that it was Sammy Hagar. I deserves to get more airplay than it is. Brad and jack still have their chops.
