yep lots of underrated side characters who didn't as much screen time as they deserved, and lots of characters that never got closure on their stories, and lots of unanswered questions. Hopefully some of those will be addressed in future Avatar projects
For those of you who didn't know here is the translation of the letter from Iron's son. (Really a drawing of Mako as a young solider) "General Iroh, Good bye until the victory ( "see you after the victory") Your faithful son ("Your Loyal Son") Lu Ten(g) Lu - meaning "road, street, journey" Teng - meaning "to soar, to fly"
Mako is famous for this role among other things. Whoever he's voicing in every show or movie, he's a man of wisdom and philosophy to all. He's always remembered in our hearts.
@@LICHTinc it is tho. it serves as a slice-of-life style format and doesn't progress the main story. Most anime fillers don't do what this episode did by giving more depth to main characters and unique character interactions. Anime fillers tend to completely suck if they're even canon
I think it would´ve been better if Zuko had just knocked on a door and asked for spark rocks to light the poles, instead of asking her to close her eyes she would watch as he lit them one by one, showing that he´s hard working, learned something from Iroh, and is putting in the effort to make her happy, it would´ve been more romantic too him just firebending in public and her not asking questions just makes no sense
Not gonna lie I was never a huge fan of this episodes with the exception of three of the segments: Iroh's, Zuko's, and Momo's. The former is a sad tribute to Iroh's life and ultimately his voice actor, Zuko's segment shows how damaged his life is because of his father where something that should bring him joy like a date with a pretty girl actually makes him sad he might have had fun and he may like Jin but because of his life he can't ultimately enjoy it, and Momo's furthers the plot in finding Apps and shows that even he misses Appa.
@@skylermaves7272 the reason why he didn't go for Jin is because he is in a relationship with Mai and he doesn't believe in polygamy she was badder than Mai to which is messy
I don't think any of the reactors knew who exactly was Mako or the actual depth of that scene. They should by now, but it's like a little sad that they didn't the first time, but that's okay bc the scene hits hard whether or not you knew
this reaction just sucks, non of them took the episode in, they just kept babbling, even in the end at the tale of iroh they wouldnt shut the hell up. they wont remember a single episode i guarantee it.
This episode made me respect iroh like no one else before
My Heart cant endure the uncle Iroh song 😢
Our* :)
@@jhamesandreisantos8687definitely our
Finally… the episode that makes me cry everytime 😭😭
Same
the fact that they got away with the iroh segment, broke everyone’s hearts and then just go on with the episode is too much for me man
Leaves from the vine
Falling so slow

Little soldier boy come marching home.
Brave soldier boy comes marching home.
This episode really makes me cry, especially Momo's tale
The person who voice Uncle Iroh is Mako. Sadly he passed away. That’s why they named one of the main characters in Legend of Korra Mako!
The Appas story is gonna be sadistic😢
It's criminal that we never learned more about Jin.
such a baddie bro 😭🙏

the AUDACITY to have Appa's Lost Days after this episode

"now let me hear you roar like a tigerdillo" - Zuko
I always just barely hold it together until Iroh's voice breaks...
If Zuko didn't have feelings for Mai this could have been and can honestly say Zuko take a major dub with Jin she is like an upgrade ty lee
the next episode is hell :((
if only anime could get this right. fillers that MEAN SOMETHING.
This isn't a filler, nor an anime. It leads us closer to appa at the end
It's not a filler tho

true but I think it was more of a time saving measure than anything else
Best episode for me.

The whole part about not liking Aang, sokka, or toph and katara actually isn’t that unpopular
