Beautiful. It was my job when I was a child to clean all the Silver in the house. That's when you used actual silverware. I didn't like to do it, but I did a good job. I felt great when it sparkled. I bet you felt a great sense of accomplishment when finished. We used Wright's silver cream.
Wright polish is by far the best in my opinion. It has a brighter shine.i cleaned a salt & pepper and my daughter cleaned one with tarn x and it was duller. So i have 2 different ones now. Live and learn. I love your creative videos during this quarantine time.
Wrights all the way. No contest. Been used for generations on the family sterling. Also makes plate look great. Use it on my bronze candlesticks as well. Can’t say enough about Wrights.
OMG that looks amazing I have passed up so many of these Silver Plate items because I didn't want to clean them but now that I see them I'm going to definitely pick them up thank you for sharing this it really sparked me into wanting to buy some

Oh wow! Amazing results. I actually bought some tarn-x a while back and haven't used it yet. Now I must give it a try! There is something very satisfying in polishing siver I think. Thanks for the demo!
Judging by the end result of all three pieces together, it's very obvious that the piece that you used the Wright's cream on, came out the most polished.Thank you
Robin. This was such a neat vider for those who havent tryed them. I lovecthe wrights the best. Works good and doesen't have that caustic smell of Tarnex but tarnex does do a great job on pieces that are hard to clean up. Works greatvon copper. Barkeepers friend does not work as good on really tarnished pieces for me
I recently moved way out in the rural country and decided it would be more fun and eclectic to use delicate china and beautiful silver here. Now I love finding, cleaning and using my pieces. I have been using Tarn-X as well and yes, it smells like rotten eggs! I do all mine outdoors.
Wow that was a good comparison. I think I will use tarn x to get the tarnish off and then go over with wrights to polish it up since the wrights was much shinier.
I have used Wright's silver cleaner before and like it. The one cleaned with it seemed shiny while the other two seemed dull. It's hard to choose between tarnish patina or bright & shiny!! TFS.😊 👍 💖
This is magnificent! The products are great and the second product where I do more with less is the way to go ! Thank you for sharing and I have the exact big vase/urn you have and I saw delighted to see the way it turned out and off to Amazon to find it ! Thank you !

Thank you for sharing. I have some pieces that look tarnish and have some corrosion. Seems like wrights and elbow grease is not enough. Any tips or suggestions? Your pieces do look beautiful!
I am sorry I have not run into that myself. Maybe it is just a price you will have to keep tarnished or clean it up and enjoy the loveliness of both tarnished and polished at the same time. Hehe

Tarnx will strip the silver plate right off. You have to be quick, like seconds, and get it off of there. If you leave it on longer than that your silver will have a yellow cast, which means, you've stripped the finish off.
You can see the tarnex and bkf destroyed the finish. Use flitz or simichrome polish for a mirror shine. Wrights is good for lighter tarnish and maintenance
Thanks for this video. I have Wrights silver polish, but I can’t seem to get all the tarnish off. I think Tarn X seems the easiest, so I will look for it when I go shopping.

The Wrights version was a lot shinier, and the other 2 were more of a dull shiny appearance. Did you try after the video cleaning the last 2 with Wrights to see if they would be shinier? Is that the difference between silver plate and sterling? Very useful video. I have used Wrights for many years and I know I’ve tried Tarnex at least once in my life but always go back to Wrights.
I wondered if that was just the difference in the grade of silver plate but now I am curious is the wright's would shine it up more, I will check it out and post it on Instagram if there is a difference
Was the finish different on the last two pieces because of the product used? The last two pieces are very cloudy and the first, large piece is a mirror finish
Thanks for this video. I have recently inherited some beautiful sterling plate sliverwear that is in need of some TLC. I think I will order some Wrights Polish on Amazon!

Wow!! Robin, this was a good video, I have often wondered about how each products would work. You have a me money and time.. I am gonna buy Wright's and the Tarnex because I have copper pieces as well. Thank you 3x
Each piece is beautiful but a good friend of mine price it well then my mood is not good need to sell everything that's why?!? How I wish didn't sell it! Sell it just to pay bills of ungrateful animal

It does take a little more scrubbing with the bar keepers friend than the others but it is good stuff

It really is, if I remember correctly the tarnx stuff seems to re-tarnish much more quickly.

oh my what a beautiful difference....don't you just LOVE LOVE the sparkle!!!!??
Oh yes, it is wonderful, but I have to admit I like a little tarnish too. Hehe
I love the tarnish look but your things look amazing.
i love it! one question after this process its ok to use it to drink at least a coffee or only for collection?.
thank you
Thank you, Robin.... It's nice to see a product comparison.... they're beautiful!!!!🥰

Thank you! I just used Wrights & it worked great! Have you tried the anti tarnish bags for storage?
Wow, thank you I’ll be adding Tarn-X to my shopping list! x

Super cool to see the difference!
Great video and information, I’m a Wright’s user I might need to try tarn-x
Hi Robin! The champagne bucket I like after polishing. The other 2 pcs I liked tarnished better. But that's just me.
Thank you so much I'll get the second one I don't want to work hard my air went out so I don't want to sweat .

Agree I have used all these and I believe Tarn-s is best
It is definitely the easiest to work with, and it just go so fast.
They came out beautiful
Howdy Robin, all I can say is They look 👀BEAUTIFUL 💪❤❤ Have a FANTASTIC week God bless you be safe 😉✌

Looks like the first product did the best job.
What a difference!
Great info! Thanks so much!
Thanks Robin!
Wow! What a difference! It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for them to get tarnished again! 🤔
I have wondered the same thing. I have also wondered if I used a silver polish if it would keep the tarnish away even better?
@@RobinJohnsonDecor don't you need to buff with soft flannel cloth every now and again---in between when you use a product again?

SUPER DANGEROUS to inhale Tarn-X! And watch for your tarnish to return quicker unless you applied a wax afterward.

Oh dear, so troublesome, young people nowadays have no time for this. Silver is for rich people with servants.
Hope you all know that it just all became junk now
