Good job on the video. Can you give us more info on the app you talked about? Most of my camping is done at the coast...at the Bird Island Basin side and the beach side of PINS. Not looking to get a tent since I use my cot-tent for now....which works out great. But may look into one later. I do have a overland/camping trailer that I am still working on and may slap a tent on top of it. Dave ~

Hey Dave. The app we used is called “Hipcamp”. Essentially it is like air bnb for campsites. You can go on the app and search near the location you are wanting to camp. I am a big coast fisherman and I’m looking forward to taking my new setup down to PINS as soon as I get a chance!

What campsite was this? Looks pretty quiet.. also, what was the reason for the poor sleep? Was the pad uncomfortable?

Hey Patrick. This was a campsite I found on the app “HipCamp”. This particular spot was in Blanco, Tx and was called the “Hill Side Live Oak Grove”. It was super quiet and secluded. As for the poor sleep, I didn’t correctly level the truck and tent. User error…. Check out my coldest night camping video and you will see that the truck was leveled and my night of sleep was actually really really good.
