The only problem in this redevelopment is lack of dustbins. Also it would have been nice to add, in certain places, covered shades so when it rains, there's place to take shelter.
Hope they will do these modification quickly
I guess dustbins will be placed later on once the construction work gets completed because at road near my house the construction is completed and dustbins were installed at last
Also Solar Tree should be installed.
Lack of shelter from sun is never implemented anywhere in Northern states pointing to low OQ of North Indians. Even planting trees does not cross the mind of these low IQ people.
You are wrong 9n " dust bins". Across the world, specifically western world, " garbage cans" ate rapidly disappearing since they fill up fast and their maintenance cost is very high. The expectation is that if you buy packaged food consume it at the point of purchase and deposit rgw trash right there in store garbage bins. All other trash, you are expected to carry it on your self and take it with you. Your garbage, you carry and dispose it is the paradigm since past 6 to 8 years.
And toilets as well... Chu migrants biharis and UP wale still pee on roads
the main thing is can we maintain this beauty....

All good but when you remove music and hear actual sound of traffic, horns, unorganised ad cardboards, wires etc etc. You get the feel it is all same old india just have done some makeup

There is a designated track for cycling, but I'm curious about the actual usage it receives on a daily basis. I also question whether bicycles can maneuver easily through the bollards installed there. Furthermore, I'm puzzled by the zigzag pattern and the presence of obstructive poles or similar structures on the sidewalks. It doesn't seem wheelchair or stroller friendly either. I haven't noticed any pedestrian crossings, which leads me to doubt the existence of a pedestrian movement management plan for this area. It appears to be primarily a beautification project, although it's a step in the right direction. However, I personally value functionality and usability over subjective beauty.
Exactly. There's already one street vendor occupying cycle track for its stall which is not good. But There's no police for these things. Nobody cares unfortunately.

This is purely a lazily done beautification project..
I was thinking the same. I feel they are intentionally placed for now so that street vendors and cars wont occupy the lanes, and over time keeping those spaces free should become a norm, and obstructions should partially be removed once the cycle tracks become busy with commuters. Hopefully

Everything is okay except those shining tiles and zigzag design. Natural colours are more soothing and elegant. But good initiative overall. Also electric wires need to go underground, and more trees for shade.

NRI born and living in London and that looks really good. In looks I could imagine it being some pedestrian road in London. Cycle lane was very surprising. Although there are some questionable and weird choices, 7:10, why is the bus stand surrounded in the greenery, people wanting to go to the bus stand would have to walk over the greenery and/or man hole cover. Overall seems a bit like careless planning. Either way its a very good start. Only hope this is the norm!
