VM disk extensions of replicated VMDK: it seems vSphere version 7 paired with vSphere Replication 8.3 is necessary to make it work online. In my lab setup with vSphere Version 6.7 plus vSphere Replication it does throw an error about unsupported operation for replicated disks...
