Once your precious baby girl is born have Josh wrap her in a baby blanket and bring that blanket home with her scent on it and allow the dogs to smell it before you bring her home so they get used to it ahead of time. Sometimes it makes the transition easier. They may be a bit more relaxed when she does come home ❤️

Also before YOU let dogs see you hold her, bring her in in the car seat (I’m sure you would anyway) but let them see you gently take her out and hold her, your pets most likely were already aware of her growing in your belly so they will be awesome and one thing to watch for is sometimes they
Can get tooo protective lol. My dog would always stand between my dad and the baby’s pack play/swing etc for a few weeks. It’s very sweet tho, he slept in front of her crib almost every night!

But yes the blanket thing is the best, my doctors even recommended that! And I feel so bad for you, you can DEFINITELY tell that lil mama is squishin your lungs lol! I feel you girl! I’m 29 weeks now with my fourth so I feel your pain!

I just made that comment as well! That’s what I did! I have a Dalmatian & a lab pointer mix. It was so sweet…the dogs sniffed it & even wanted to sleep with it!!! My main concern was them bombarding her when we walked in the door & doing this really helped with that bc it wasn’t a “new” scent. 🤍

You are so much stronger than you think!! Trust in your medical team. Your doctor wouldn't give you these types of recommendations lightly. Both a healthy baby and a healthy mom is what they have in mind. Also, your control issues are going to be on the fritz for a while... There's absolutely zero control over a baby on this side. Enjoy every moment. It all goes so fast. I'm so glad that you're taking the time you need away from the social media world. Enjoy momma!! Congratulations!!

Your feelings of anxiety and fear are totally normal and valid, it is such a huge deal bringing a new life into this world! The last few weeks of pregnancy are so difficult with all of the uncertainties and just wanting the baby to be born already, I struggled so much in the last weeks of both of my pregnancies with the same feelings. And it was so routine for the doctors that they made me feel like I was overreacting and should just ‘stop worrying’. For me it was a huge deal and really scary to give birth but ultimately I had to accept I had no control and had to trust my doctors. You will do great and one day look back on this time and realize how strong of a person you are!

Remember that 1st babies usually take longer to come. So relax, breath and know that you are stronger than you think. 🌸
Labour is like sleep because we need the same conditions to "fall into labour" and progress as we need to fall asleep. We need to feel safe and warm and relaxed, at peace. We need to be in a place in which we feel comfortable and we need to feel free from pressure, anxiety or fear.
    Wishing you all the best!

Just know its temporary and all will get better each day, on my third pregnancy I had a 11 lb baby natural and ripped and each day I told myself each day I will get better, don't stress sweetie pie and all will work out okay, sending love and light and many blessings your way, thank-you for sharing and BREATHE and all will be okay and Yes, trust and let it be, cut the chords from other peoples energy you picked up, sometimes we pick up other peoples energy. Take your time and don't worry about us, your number one and enjoy your baby girl and your blessed to have Josh and your wonderful family support :)

I had to pick a date at 37 weeks too. I had her a day shy of 38 weeks! She was 7lbs. 8 1/2 oz and 21 inches long! I also ended up in preterm labor at 28 weeks and was in the hospital for a week then on bed rest for ten weeks! I had the two shots for her lung development in case she came before 37 weeks! That was almost 18 years ago! So I would think that you need to talk to your doctor at your next appointment and voice all concerns for your state of mind, Josh’s, and just so you can feel safe! Good luck! Can’t wait to see her! Congratulations! 🎈🍾 ❤️💕

I started reading to my babies in the hospital. My mom and grandmother did the same.
We took blankets from the hospital home for our cats so they’d get used to their scent before the babies came home. As soon as we got home we set the carrier on the floor and let them sniff being on guard in case they got aggressive but sitting on either side of the carrier and paying attention to the *cats* and talking to them and asking what they thought. We explained who and what the baby was. You know the intelligence of your pets.

You know it's getting really close when you start nesting. The night before my water broke, I was insistent that this one project I was doing in our kitchen was completed. Had nothing to do with the baby. Just something that I felt I needed to complete. Your body just knows. I hope Josh is able to film you holding your baby for the first time. Looking into her eyes for the first time. It's absolutely incredible and I wish I had mine filmed. It's something you will never forget.

I won’t sugar coat it, it is going to be so scary and hard at first but take it day by day and let Josh handle whatever you can’t. Trust him, lean on him and take advantage of all the help he can and is willing to offer. Remember you’re not alone and I promise everyday gets easier. Also don’t spend hours worrying about something that could be wrong with the baby or you. There is nurse hotlines 24/7 for new parents to answer any and all questions that come up. Before you know it your little baby is going to be sitting up, laughing, starting solids etc. and you’ll have gotten the hang of this parent thing. I’m sooo excited for you guys💕🥹

💜💜coming from a 23yr mother of three. All of my babies were induced, all i had an epidural and pushed them out. After my first child I went into my second pregnancy with a more open mindset you could say. My inductions were not planned. My daughter at 39 weeks and my twins at 36 weeks. The delivery never goes how you think they are going to go and lots of things could happen. Just hope for a smooth delivery 💜 It is scary and having children changes your whole life but to see them grow right in front of your eyes is what makes it all worth it. My daughter is almost 5 and my twins just turned 1.
All of us are different 💜 we all experience different deliveries 💜

I don't know your birth plan but if you need an epidural take it and don't feel bad about it. 3. If you're drinking a lot of pickle juice that could be part of the reason you're so swollen. If it eases your mind just a little, both my boys were born at 37 weeks. My first came on his own and I had to be induced with my 2nd due to growth restriction. Both of them were perfect! My youngest was small but that wasn’t because of his gestational age. He is almost 3 months old now and my oldest is 2! I love your videos and good luck with your sweet little girl!

as an L&D nurse, all I can say is your baby will decide exactly how and when she wants to come. the show is run by the baby, not us! I always tell patients that the first lesson is parenthood is the release of control and it starts with pregnancy and delivery haha! you are AMAZING Kendall & you'll never feel like you did everything right -- the fact that you're scared means you're already the perfect parent.
Induction is hard, but usually only done if necessary. Always feel free to get a second opinion, but know that we take gestational hypertension and pre-eclampsia so seriously and it's for your safety. Make the experience your own and make your hospital room comfortable.

Don't worry to much it will happen in its own time but if your blood pressure is up it can cut off food and oxygen to the baby just keep that in mind. My prayers are with you and Josh

Birthing is one of the most amazing experiences (I've done it several times). You realize that you have absolutely no control over what your body is about to do. You can't yell at your belly and command that baby to come out any more than, once labor starts, you can stop it by yelling, "Wait! I'm not ready!" This process and this baby are on their own miraculous timetable. And you get to watch your body do what you never thought it could do. You have a truly divine instinct that completely engages and takes over your mind. It's a matter of sitting back (technically) and not fighting the process. Do what you were instinctually made to do. Do everything you learned in your birthing classes. Rejoice in the miracle. You'll be just fine.

    • @talkdtwo
      @talkdtwo 2 года назад

And I want to add, if for whatever reason, you have a C-section, it's just as amazing. When you hold that little life in your arms, all of those nights recently that you couldn't sleep, where you felt like your pelvis was a knotted pretzel about to snap in two... it will be ALL very worth it.

Breathe it all is better once you hear that first cry from your sweet baby. I am an RN who had severe complications getting pregnant and staying pregnant. I personally will never tell another Mom what to do or how to feel. I can empathize with some and sympathize with others yet I cannot know your whole past to know how, why you feel whatever you feel. You have to go with what your body is telling you and advice from your doctor. Whatever choice you make will be what is right for you. The love and support you have in your life will get you through it all. Hope you keep laughing and enjoying this time. Sending you positive thoughts💝💝💝

I brought my son home in a car seat and let my miniature schnauzer sniff him. She sniffed him, sneezed, and then walked away!🤣 As my son got older they never really cared for each other. My dog doesn’t really like kid but isn’t aggressive or scared around them. Then when my son was 2 we had a boxer mix(approx. 8 months old per the vet) come to our house and never left so we adopted him. The boxer is now around 9 years old and my son is 11 and they are best friends. He is the most gentle sweet dog I’ve ever met. My son could pull his ears and tail and he wouldn’t even flench. Of course we taught him not to do that. Dogs are amazing with children. They are a blessing in most cases.☺️
Congrats Kendall and Josh!! I know you both will be amazing parents!❤️

Best wishes for a short, easy delivery Kendall!! I was in the hospital for 16 days when I gave birth to my daughter. ( I have a chronic illness that flared up). I was induced on a Monday, had my daughter on Thursday. My labor was on and off for those four days. Usually, once you’re induced, you’ll have a bundle of joy within a few hours. Because I was so sick, the doctor didn’t want to give me any more medication to move things along. It really wasn’t a big deal. Labor feels like gas pain, only easier. Gas pain can last for hours. When you’re having contractions the pain builds up for a couple minutes, peaks, then goes back down, so you do get periods of time where the pain is much less intense. Labor really isn’t bad. If I can say that after having pleurisy, pulmonary edema, and pericarditis during the end of my pregnancy and during labor, you’ll see it’s not as bad as what you might think!! Blessings to you, Josh and the baby!

You look so gorgeous, Kendall!!! The thumbnail is just everything. Wishing you, Josh, Baby & every one of your critters all the blessings of happiness and love as you start this new wonderful (yet sometimes miserable- which is ok & totally normal) journey together.
As for advice I have to offer: Lean on your support system when you need it. You can't be the best mom you want to be unless you remember to take care of yourself, mental health especially! And revel in every teeny tiny hiccup of awesomeness from your baby. It sounds like a no-brainer piece of advice. Speaking as a mom whose baby just turned 17 yesterday, the phrase "time flies by so fast" doesn't hold a candle to how quickly it truly flies by.
I'm sure you don't need the advice to begin with. You guys got this! Congratulations Josh & Kendall 🖤

Birth in any manner can go how it’s not supposed to or go amazingly well. I feel like induction gets a really bad rap,but my induction was 10000 times better than my spontaneous labor and birth. You just literally don’t know how birth is going to go,which of course is frightening. The best thing you can do is really go in with an open mind✨You’ve got this and I wish you a great birth experience and can’t wait to “meet” baby!!! Congrats again guys🤍

I had my first baby girl at 38 weeks due to low amniotic fluids. They were great! It was actually a generally comfortable experience. I had the epidural, I felt some pressure, no tearing, and she was perfect. It is always scary when you have never given birth before, but after, you will miss all of the experience. You will miss her in your belly. I cried for an hour a week afterwards in the shower because I wasn’t carrying her anymore. The hormones! Gosh! 😂 Best of luck for a safe delivery and healthy baby! Girlll! I am so sorry you’re scared. I was 18 when I had my first son and I was scared at first but by the time I got to the end I just accepted it. Like, mamas do this every single day since the dawn of time. You got this! (You prob already had her lol) but don’t be scared (that’s easier said than done) but you will be ok… it’s the most amazing thing how someone who has ZERO experience with pregnancy/babies etc… can just become a mom in a split second the second you deliver the baby. You just all the sudden know what to do, and even if you don’t, you figure it out. This baby is relying on you so you have no choice. Besides the immense amount of unconditional love you’ll feel for your baby I think that’s why we’re able to pick it up so easily. Granted at 18 I did have my moms help but my husband (then boyfriend) and I didn’t live with her anymore, we had just moved out. And now it’s 17 years later and I’m 29 weeks pregnant with my fourth lol!
    You. Got. This. Mama. 💪🏽

Some of my family members were concerned that our large golden retriever would scare or jump on our newborn but he was so gentle and overprotective of her and slept right next to her crib every night. He was very gentle with her and when she was a toddler she would playfully “bother” him at times and he’d totally let her lol. I feel your dogs will be gentle and protective of your baby girl as well…they’re lovable and sweet and have the best “parents” to guide them. 😊❤️

Aw Kendal I’m sure your baby girl is here by now.
I will just say I had gestational bp, never preeclamptic. I had to be induced. (I was 39wks) I ended up with a C-section due to my bp and some decels.
Regardless, my baby and myself were safe. (I opted for a scheduled C-section for my second baby due to anxiety and because honestly I just wanted it)

I Had 1 failed epidural, had 2 successful epidurals. When the epidural worked I literally gave birth watching TV lol. The hardest part is being pregnant. Once she's here, you'll look back at this and be so proud of yourself. You're bringing a human that you've created into this world. You are MAGIC mama!

I have a Dalmatian & a dog that’s 3/4 lab 1/4 pointer. After I had my baby girl, I had bought a specific blanket to do this - I wrapped her up in it & let her be in it for a little while. Then I sent it home with someone & let the pups sniff it & they even wanted to sleep with it 😭 so…that might be something you could do - send a blanket home beforehand so they get her scent before you walk in the door with her.
I never really realized until just now that my pups had never been around a little human either before I had my baby girl. But right before I was induced, both of them would start laying their heads on my tummy & my little girl would kick them 😂 then after I brought her home, they both slept curled up under her little bassinet in the living room when she napped & it was the cutest thing ever. 🥰

my son was born at almost 42 weeks this April. my doctor wanted to induce at 40 (neither baby or I had complications though) but I felt I was so close to having him naturally and really had this whole idea of how everything was going to go. it's great to have a doctor who is willing to work with you but also have the babys best interest in mind. he supported my wishes and just asked we do 2 check ups a week until we were ready.
in the end I did decide induction was best (plus I was def. done feeling so pregnant) and even though it wasn't my plan and a few other things didn't go as expected (delayed cord clamping wasn't done and neither was the immediate hour long skin to skin) but looking back, none of that really mattered. I have a beautiful healthy baby and without a doubt that was the best day of my life. no matter how or when your little one comes, as long as she is healthy, nothing else will matter. stay strong mama, you got this!!

I was induced because at 36 weeks i was 2cm dialated, and by 40 there was 0 change. She was NOT in a hurry! As a first time mom, i have no other experiences to compair it to, but i had a pretty long labor. Everything was absolutely fine though and she came out perfectly healthy. There is no wrong way to bring your baby into the world! And you'll be in good hands!

I was induced because of high blood pressure. Do what you have to do/ what you want to do. If you do get induced at least you will have a set day & time which may help you feel more in control in that sense. I love you Kendall! You will do AMAZING. Baby will be fine, and so will you.🫶🏻

13.40 i get how you feel my first daughter i was diagnosed with obstetric cholostasis and was told by my doctor from 20 weeks that my baby could die then at 37 weeks everything went back to normal but they didnt want her to go over term so was induced at 40 weeks but she pooped in the water and i had to have an emergency c sect . Scary as hell but shes now a beautiful 20 year old young woman and i couldnt wish for a more perfect best friend. You have Josh by your side and whether she comes out naturally or medically helped she is going to grow into a beautiful young lady as you and Josh are amazing!!!! I had to have a C-section. I'm here to tell you my son was 4 weeks early and was perfectly fine. You do what you feel is right about your birth plan and know you have this. Kendall and Josh I’m so excited for you both! 😊💗 I know it’s easier said than done, but Kendall try not to overthink it all and stress. As soon as she’s here, you will just fall so in love with her and as long as she’s in your arms happy and healthy, nothing else will matter. And that’s all she will need for the first few weeks, is to be fed and hugged (and changed lol).
I was about where you are when I spontaneously went into labour (35 weeks & 6 days). I was so sure it was too early and just Braxton Hicks, that I thought I’d just go to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. I only took a handbag with me and our nursery wasn’t even set up. I gave birth the next day!
The birth didn’t go to plan and ended up with me labouring for several hours and then having an emergency c-section under anesthetic. About 6-7 hours went by between the birth and me getting to meet her - but as soon as I held her, I just felt her melt into me and I knew she knew me. She’s a year old now and we are joined at the hip. 😂 She’s happy and healthy, and my husband and I are still learning every day. It’s hard, but it’s beyond incredible the depth and scope of the love you will feel. The rest, you will play by ear, but you guys are both so in tune with your feelings and have so much empathy for others, that I really think you are going to give this little girl everything she needs. A delay on a bookcase is nothing! 😊 Give it about 10 months and those books will be all over the floor anyway! 😂 💗 Sending you all my love xoxox

Please take care of yourself and use Josh to reassure you in all your decisions the two of you are in control not the doctor. I am so excited for your daughter to join your family. The dogs will adjust well once they spend time with her. I agree having Josh bring a baby blanket home for Bernie and Sadie to get used to her smell will probably help with them adjusting. Don't worry about uploading we will all be here when you are ready to come back. I'm sending prayers and positive energy your way for a peaceful relaxing birth. Welcome to parenthood. I had pre-eclampsia that developed into HELLP syndrome at 33 weeks. They debated inducing me but I'm very lucky my mum (a nurse of 30+ years) was there to remind them that was not an option with how far into it I was at that point. I had an emergency C-section and it was a whirl wind, but she's about to turn 1 in 2 weeks time a very happy healthy little lady. You're already over the hump of 34 weeks (probably way over if these vlogs are back dated) which is when their brain is fully developed and they're learning to suck and swallow, so are hopefully more likely to take to breast feeding. You may have already had her! Wishing you, Josh and baby all the best as you start an amazing journey together. Cherish every minute they grow up way too fast!

There's a recent study that inducing at 39 weeks has less risks then going 40 or more weeks.
My water broke at 37+3. It was pretty smooth once I got epidural. Getting there due to old annoying rules took a bit.
I hope you have her soon or now. It will be worth it no matter what.

I felt like I had no control over what was happening to my body and I still struggle with wanting to control everything. But honestly it’s all in her hands. And of course the doctors who will do what is safest for you and your baby. Also if your scared about the pain.. it really helps to let it come as much as you can, accept it and welcome it. The more you tense up the worse the pain will be. It helped me a lot to have coloring books and music to just really relax and get in the zone. Love y’all and I am so happy for y’all!! After listening to all your worries and uncertainty over the blood pressure and whether to get induced, I wanted to offer some advice as on my first daughter I ended being induced for the same reasons however I was overdue already before the symptoms started. By 37 weeks if your symptoms have not settled my advice would be that the conditions could cause more harm in the extra week than the difference for baby staying onboard for her health benefits. It took me 3 days of induction and then I still had an emergency c section and I was officially 10 days overdue but more by my dates, what I am saying is holding out probably wouldn’t change the outcome of how the delivery will go.
I am wishing you both all the best and sure you will all do brilliantly.
My sisters boys were born 5 and 6 weeks early but both could breath for themselves and were in good health, trying to put your mind at ease for if you do have to deliver early, lots of love ❤️ ❤️❤️ and best wishes xxx

Slow introduction to be safe (definitely let them smell a blanket the baby has been wrapped in) and they will know! It will be so sweet!!!!!
