And you are very right, learning the correct finger, hand and wrist technique is what makes a fine drummer who can express with taste and skill, and for a drum so simple as a cajon, a lot of "fine" is needed to bring out all the nice shades and tones. It's good to get that from the beginning so you don't have to unlearn bad habits in your technique, keep working onit buddy! :-) cajon love from London!

Heidi - Thanks! great videos. I just bought a Pearl strings cajon and started practicing with your videos. Btw a similiar beat to this is also used in Arabic melodies! :) me and my friend were jamming together with a Darbuka and the Cajon. Traditional + oriental!

The Pro Elite sounds very much like this one (a bit better to be honest), albeit this is not a cruz, this is a prk, which is the brand that endorsed me before I even had my own brand. Unfortunately the prk artesan has stopped working since 2012 and they are not making any more of them, which is also one of the reasons I have my own Cruz Cajon brand too.
