In my experience, su25 can be extremely effective, but only if there is no AA. Mig 27 is extremely good at killing AA’s, so if you have both coordinating, you can absolutely ruin whole lobbies
Seeing someone employ a weapon system effectively at top teir is like watching a ballet. It's always amazing and fun to watch. Nice job making the most of this bird. I have been pondering going for it for several years now.
Man I fell in love with the MiG-27K so badly. Both in ground RB and in air RB back in the days when BVR wasn't a big thing. That 30mm and the air frame both give a satisfying combo. Also guiding them Kh-25MLs in with those nice optics is fun.
p.s.: I am using the 25MLs over the 29Ls, also having 2 R-60Ms on one wing also helps with dealing with enemy jets. Then you can "only" kill 3 ground targets from a far, but that's still a good number. It also can make you RTB a bit early and get you out of danger zone.
@@patriotic-panda well you also gotta take into account what AA it'll face, Russia only has to worry about the TOR, but France has to worry about the Pantsir and the TOR so honestly Russia has a slight advantage there
If you pay on an map where the spawn is mostly open (no house's) You dont have a problem with the Kh29t. I took 2 Spaa down with the su39. The problem with that loadout is that you pay more Spawn Points so sometimes you have to take the Kh29L.
In my personal experience I still prefer the SU25T because of the Kh-29T's and the larger weapon loadout, Enemy SPAA Isn't too big of a problem when you have fire-and-forget Just scan for the enemy SPAA''s, fire the kh29t and turn around/side climb
With a decent amount of experience in grb, Especially USSR top tier grb, i want to say that, if there are no AA systems, the su39/su25t is way superior because it has more armament and can take down way more tanks than the mig 27k. When there are AA systems, with the su39/su25t you can shoot both your KH29T (TV guided) on the either the AA systems or tanks, get almost 2 guaranteed kills then break off, and come back for more, while with the mig27k either you also bring the KH29T but you can’t take the KH25ML, either you take 4 kh25ml but you have to climb. When coming down with the mig27k, Especially if you are guiding a missile, basically all AA systems can shoot you down. Therefore, i came to the conclusion that, even tho i have both planes, i’d rather play the su39 than the mig27k because you don’t take much more risk by playing the su39/su25t, but the reward is way bigger
@@mr.waffentrager4400 The m3 doesn't have the r60Ms and doesn't have the kh29Ts. you won't be able to fight against SPAAs and other aircraft, don't even bother trying to use it.

You're also not getting killed as much because Rolands and VT-1 are terrible now. The Mig-27 can starclimb easily, as you say, and still retain enough maneuverability in high altitude while SAMs waste a lot of energy actually climbing to you, and feel clunky af.
MiG27 is useless because of Su 25T/39. He only has speed, and that's it. The MiG 27 cannot be compared at all with the mirage and other supersonic attack aircraft with a thermal imager, even with the F 14B .
@molock5032 it often happens that the Chinese or the USSR are playing against you, and VT1 missiles are more dangerous than panrsir, you can't just dodge 50G. And yeah, Pantsir now is completely broken.

@molock5032 well, it doesn't matter if Pantsir is worse than Tunguska. also cannot hit an enemy that flies perpendicular, and the radar lock jumps either up or stays in place and does not follow the plane, and from this 300mb update, the missile goes to lock of the radar, that is, if the radar lock jumps once to the top or somewhere, the missile will go to the top, and it will no longer be possible to return it due to "32G". Now Pantsir is worse than tunguska, but it still has missile speed, 12 missiles, and range. Btw doesn't matter if you can't hit. Oh yeah, when Pantsir, was added, it has nerfed the speed of enemy detection, now it takes 2-3 radar scans to find the enemy, while the tunguska and everyone else do it on first scan. if only they would give the Pantsir the same lock as Gepard, without bugs and nerfs... this would be heaven... I mean pantsir from dev server
@@Niko_rj Pantsir never had a great radar the program called ROMAN(POHMA) was an accident they were trying to make a EWR for the S300 but ended being small so they fitted it in a Tungus turret shoved it in a truck and said thats it in fact irl if the aircraft flies at a alt lower than 1km with distance beyond than + - 10km(everything was in miles) the pantsir wouldnt be able to cant detect it thats why it aways has TORs or Tungus around it irl because its a common tactic use helis to destroy it because of the capabilities of flying very low so the other SPAAGM/SAMs would protect it,in game is not a bug it still better than it should
You can use both during the same match since one is consider as a striker and the other one as a fighter

To add onto that its speed and the SAM nerfs make it so much more difficult to kill. It seems like the only decent SAM now is the Pantsir's SAMs
Ngl kinda seems like Russia has best CAS in game right now, but tbh I doubt that'll be the case in the next couple major updates

I used the FlaRakRad recently and I found it to be incredibly effective, I was able to shoot down 6 aircraft in one match.

Yes! It has always been. With the add of pantsir it got even better, since every other not russian cas vehicle got power creeped by the pantsir.

Mig 27 should run SEAD while the SU-25 runs ground attack.
I prefer the su17m4, it has more interesting payload options.
