And according to his friends and family, his girlfriend, 25-year-old Only Fans star Courtney Tailor (whose real name is Courtney Clenney) is to blame. Like most domestic crimes that involve interracial couples the subject of race is now front and center. A past podcast interview with Clenney and some less than positive tweets about Black women from Obumseli has many on social media questioning the entire situation. Smollett didn’t murder anyone but also had 100k bail and was charged twice and is now out on appeal and can STILL go back to jail. Now do Kyle Rittenhouse and George Zimmerman.

I hope this situation serves as a warning to immigrants like myself. A lot of times, immigrant parents tell their kids to stay away from African Americans instead of telling them to stay away from toxic people regardless of race.

I learned to not associate with a certain type of people but funny enough, I went through college and university and didn’t make one single Caucasian friend and I don’t know how it happened. I just realized reading the comments on the case that a lot of African Americans have this feelings that they are looking down by black immigrants and I want them immigrants to check themselves out.
I also want African Americans to check themselves because they also fall for the propaganda that black immigrants are less than for a long time. I’m Haitian and even living in Haiti as a child I knew about the bullying and the Haitian booty scratcher shit. So its time to see that we have been taken for a ride a check ourselves and see that our destiny is connected in so many ways.

Nigerian-born guy got a taste of America in the worst way. This dude prob thought dating a cute snowflake was "dating up". What he failed to realize is, in the US you're not Nigerian, Dominican, or from Chad. You are simply black. Which means non-blacks can attack you with impunity. As an FBA, believe me I know.
I have read the comments below and I can see both sides of the argument.
I can see why black American women don’t want to fight for this unfortunate young man, and I can see why his family would like and need their support. And yes, we are all black no matter where we come from in this world.
But my thing is, when this young man was saying the unkind things he said, did his family or any of the African community publicly correct him, so that the wider African American community can see that not all the African community think like this. Did his family members say to him privately, that the same people he is insulting may be the only ones (black American women) who will be able to turn to if African comm ever need help (with for example police brutality) if not, then you have no right to ask for their help, demand it their help or guilt trip them into giving their help.
Furthermore, if you had no problem with what he was saying, you should be asking white women for help instead, seeing as he liked them so much and the African community did nothing to challenge the vile things he said.
Black American women are not at your beck and call, just there for you to use if ever they are needed. They are human beings with feelings, and from what I can see, their feelings have been hurt.
I also think his family should publicly apologise to the women he insulted. The apology may go some way to mend bridges and heal the wound between the two communities.
I hope this young man rests in peace and the family get the justice they seek.
