I drove this exact vehicle variant in 2009. I picked it up from KAF and it has new car smell. It was new from the factory. It was not new when I left. I drove it everyday, all day.
Weren't these suppose to have the Tow Under Armour turret installed originally? I believe that version was with drawn due to all the regular LAV III losses so they could field more troop carriers.
Tnx for the video! Can you please tell me is uparmored version of LAV III able to winstand 14.5mm AP and older Soviet era 30mm AP rounds? Is vehicle even tested against that when decision to field uparmored version was made or focus was just on mine and IED protection?
They did, all the stock and all the remaining parts. Just two were saved. One for Canadian War Museum in Ottawa and one for this museum. Just two were saved to save our history and the story of those who served in them. All the remaining LAV III and variants going to Ukraine. We can’t allow a war to destroy ALL our history
Very cool stuff, great video as always guys

Thanks, this will help in the ongoing fight with VAC over the lack of crew protection in the AVGPs and LAV 3.
Cool!!
I don't know why they took the turret off, still really cool though and nice video

Yes, they were, but the LAV-TUA programme was cancelled, and the LAVIII hulls for the project were converted to the RWS variant.

Drain plugs dangling as always lol
whats the CFR of the C2 at 55 seconds?
Can you buy one of this ???
No, it’s controlled goods.
Flat floor plate not best practice - they needed V shaped bottom hull to deflect blast outwards from vehicle.
Love the Museum, but our government really should have donated these LAVs to Ukraine.
