- There are certain steps to follow when brewing tea in gong fu style. Following this sequence helps us stay calm and organized when practicing the tea ceremony. In this video, we demonstrated the core process and proper way of tea brewing using a gaiwan. The same principles apply to all kinds of tea brewing.
Tea’s fragrance hides everywhere: in the warmed dry leaf, on the lid of your gaiwan, at the bottom of your empty teacup… Following the traditional sequence of tea brewing helps to awaken and refine. Beyond embracing the high aroma from tea, practicing this sequence of tea brewing helps to practice your patience and mindfulness.

This is the first time in my life I understand the "Chinese Tea process" 🥰, awesome information but the question is, why to warm up the teaware? Why the left hand is respectful bcoz the world gives respect to the right hand, this is strange for me. Please reply thank you🙏.

Hi, you can definitely invite friends(from your left to right) at the table to enjoy the aroma from the gaiwan. I just didn't have anybody next to me while I filmed this video. Happy brewing!
How many grams of tea did you put into the gaiwan?
I usually put 6 to 8 grams of tea into the gaiwan, depending on the type of tea and the flavor profile I’m aiming for ;)
