I feel like this song is a lot harder to learn that I expected, but I just love OMORI so much I had to continue... y'know....just for one of my favorite characters.

I'm a beginner pianist, does anyone have any tips to learn efficiently? Any tips or advices are fine!

It’s best to always start playing a piece quite slowly at first, cause if you go faster than you’re capable of you will make more mistakes and those mistakes can linger on every time you play it. Repeating small sections is also great as you can focus on each part one at a time and memorise the piece faster. Also in general it’s better to practice a little each day rather than a huge chunk of practice only once a week, cause that way you can maintain a familiarity with your pieces and you will improve much more. Hope this helps :D

@@user-wb8qo6rl8h I know this is a late comment, but the title song for OMORI is relatively easy to play once you have the basics down. After practicing yours skills for a little bit, you should try to play it!
hey hows it going? any progress? im also a self taught pianist, although there's a bit of theory i think is mandatory for you to learn first. learn the letters of the keys, it makes it much easier to play pieces when you know that much, otherwise everything just looks like a mess of black and white. but yes, learn slowly. it took me 3 days of practising one small part of a song i was playing to get it down perfect, so patience is key.

i’m a somewhat beginner? idk how to describe it; but just wanna track how long it takes me to learn thissss:
day one: started learning the right hand got to 0:39 before i got up and had a break
day one (continued): took a bit more of a longer break then needed (9 hours.) but i’m back and got up to 0:55 before i stopeped
day 10: i had to take a break because school and shi, today i got up to 1:03 before sleeping
day 11: finished the right hand and got up to 0:12 on left :-)))

edit: i found it easier to practice by first practicing the jump to A-D-G, using fingers 5 2 1, then adding in the B with 4th after getting comfortable with it.

I'm a beginner and only have the right hand done and now starting with the left, I'm a bit nervous but I'm thinking of simplifying a few parts so my hands can reach properly 😭 (my keyboard is a bit stiff in a way that requires slightly more effort than other digital keyboards I've played on)
But anyways, great job on perfecting it! Hopefully I'll get to that stage too 😄
