- Just a day to take a quick look at some of the random 1/12 scale items items I've picked up, customized or been sent over the past few months to supplement my displays, like a huge Star Wars AT-ST, some Savage Crucible prototype action, a battle damaged Darth Vader, a Goblin Queen of my very own, another tweak for my X-Men villain Sabretooth, Quinlan Vos, and some Marvel Legends swapping.

Man, that is an awesome Goblin Queen!
Unfortunately I don't want to buy the 7 figures, nor do I have the skill, to be able to pull that off but that is a beautiful custom
You don’t have to go as in depth as Robo did. I’ll bet you could get by with just dark Phoenix, shriek, and dazzler and that custom chest piece.
The disco hair on the Invisible Girl/Woman figure is correct. John Byrne drew her that way for a little while.
Loving that Goblin Queen. If only Hasbro would give us one like that!

Yeah, Nanny is slowly but surely coming together. I'm almost at the point where I have enough parts for two. Make both and pick the size I like better?

Knowing how my customizing goes I’d make both sizes and the end up making a 3rd hybrid with what I like from both. You could probably do a mock up with blu tack and see if either size really stands out to you.

Have you ever thought about making a custom Magus, as in Adam Warlock - Magus? The high evolutionary upper body for the shoulder wings and Hercules arms would be an awesome start.

I love Playday. That Goblin Queen is great. Considering I am usually not even super into the character, the fact your custom gets me really impressed might make it kind of the winner of this video in its way.

Playdays are always fun! It's always mind blowing when you actually see a 1/12th scale vehicle in hand, they are bigger than most of us think they will be!!
Exactly. In the imagination, you fudge things to make it a reality, but to hold it in hand....
They get big. I’ve done a handful of vehicles at this scale for people. Often requested is AT-AT, which I have files for and is over 6ft tall. LAAT, I have files for, somewhere in the 4.5 ft long, Sandcrawler, I have files, 5 foot tall. Quarter of the falcon, just over 6 ft. ATTE working on files, 6 ft long. I don’t see haslab doing much of anything in the future tbh
@@nathankozuch I used to primarily be 1/6 scale and those vehicles were big but almost always not true to scale but true to fit the figures. I just find it funny that so many people think the vehicles could be sold at retail when most of them would end up the size of the USS Flagg for GiJoe. It's not practical today!
@@akxion_figs working on a 1:6 N1 right now for someone, so yea… there is a reason why hot toys never actually releases the vehicles they show off for PR
@@nathankozuch No doubt, Hot Toys always wnts to be authentic so they don't make anything but the PR models as there is only a handful of people they would actually price they'd need to charge for a true 1/6 vehicle! I'd love to see some of your stuff is on the tube or IG?
That Elektra is perfect classic look. The Invisible Woman and that 70s show mom or Farrah Fawcett hairdo - 👍. Can’t wait to see the soft good Goblin Queen; it is already pretty cool. That AT- ST 3D print is amazing.

Also for all the great work on display here, I love how you just 'throw in' that Doctor Who werewolf, meanwhile I'm smacked hard in the face by a nostalgia wave. I was maybe six or seven when those figures were coming out and that werewolf was a major standout back then for me. Even if it was my brother's and not mine in retrospect I think that was the first time I began to notice things like articulation, leading me down this rabbit hole of a hobby, not that I'm complaining about that.
One of the best playdays ever! That Goblin Queen is amazing and makes me sad Hasbro will likely never make one in that outfit (they had their chance and blew it). The ATST is also incredible and I am certain it will be a future Haslab that hopefully they don't overcharge for. 😅

That Goblin Queen looks incredible! Especially the gem on the chest! My X-Men villains are really random, just mostly villains I think are good "catch all" villains or iconic, and Madelyne fits that bill. I'm just too lazy to make one, so I'll join you in just staring 😅
I saw that AT-ST when Articulated Ninja showcased it a few months back, and it made me really, really want a 3D printer. It's laaaaarge! It'd catch my eye every time I entered the room too!
I just started a new job that is in an industry that is the total opposite of any of my other experience and im on lunch break after having a very difficult time in training and I just wanted to say thanks for uploading this Robo. Really made my day, love when you do play days!
You got this man, learning something new can be stressful but you gotta do what you gotta do to get by. Just try to have a little fun while you're doing it!

The problem you’re having with the sue storm figure is probably due to the fact it’s a john Byrne era cut - and a perfect head for that - but the costumes then were blue and white

It depends. Fdm has it limits to circular objects. So I printed those in resin to prevent the need to waste time sanding and filling.

As someone who collects the Doctor Who figures, that Werewolf is the most articulated figure in the line.

I've seen pics and considered it since I'm a big Who fan but they just don't sing to me.

I like what you did with Vertigo. It's more like the original hair from the Mutant Massacre. Back with John Romita Jr art. What they gave her is more in line with modern works. But I collect for nostalgia, not the newest version of a character.
The vertigo hair swap you did is a big improvement from what hasbro did which is just green hair sue storm everytime i look at it. The madame hydra hair actually makes it look like a new figure instead of all reuse. The goblin queen looks great. Everytime is see that crazy hair elektra head i think to myself if the white headband or hair can be removed and be attached to the dark phoenix head to give dark phoenix that really big wild hair she is sometimes drawn with in comics during the dark phoenix saga.

I want a jim lee psylocke on that elektra body.. easy custom if you are handy with paint and that new head they dropped on the yellow/blue might work there. Your goblin queen looks amazing, good work.

For nanny start with modok parts for the smaller egg as a test run just experiment with. And buzz for the bigger egg once u got everything down

That Goblin Queen is awesome. I wish Hasbruh would get their collective noggins out of their nether sphincter and make a Goblin Queen that has the design specs she is supposed to have. I pray they DO NOT release that version they were going to give away in the Haslab. That wasn't going to cut it. They need to stop being afraid to show skin. Marvel wasn't afraid to when they allowed her to be published multiple times across multiple books...so Hasbruh can do it!

That Quinlan Vos figure is boss! And so is the At-St. I backed that thing long ago, I just haven't printed it yet. Debating whether to go resin or filament. I think filament will last better.

@@nathankozuch I am, but there is SO much stuff.. I kind of just dont sign in to DIscord for a while and just pop in a couple of times per month. I rarely read all the stuff there. I am also part of two SW gaming discords, which are flooded with "filler" too. So it all just quickly becomes too much, for me. Just the discord sound whenever there is a new reply in one of the boards can drive me up the wall LOL and I am not even on the spectrum or anything.
'Figuring out' with your figures... well Robo, that figures. heehee.
