      bsharpmajorscale Everybody always defaults to the key of C. How simple-minded they are... B# is where it’s at, and it really separates the men from the boys.

    I remember it by looking at the black keys: 3 key group and 2 key group, for major pentatonic: 123, 56. it's just those black keys in Gb. And then in Eb minor, just move over to the left to Eb and use the same keys.

    Hi. can you show us all the chords of this line ?

    • @PianoteOfficial
      @PianoteOfficial  4 года назад +3

      In the video Jordan was playing a Cm7 chord for that minor bluesy sound, and an Eb7 for the brighter sound.
      This scale can be used over lots of different chords, but sounds really good over 7th chords.

    You said key of C but two notes are not in C at all (Eb and Bb). I don't understand.

    • @PianoteOfficial
      @PianoteOfficial  4 года назад +2

      Great question! These are notes that are "outside" the key signature. They are technically called "non-diatonic" in music. While they key signature is a great starting point for figuring out what notes to play, the best thing about music is that there's really no rules!

    • @sp10sn
      @sp10sn 4 года назад

      @@PianoteOfficial Thank you so much for the reply. I understand that playing in a key really can include any notes for appropriate effect. There is a key signature with those two accidentals, however, so the necessary follow on is what makes this set of five notes C related instead of that other key?

  • @ed9709

    When you interchange letter notation to numerical notation of the keys such as calling G key and then a little later calling it fifth key is confusing. Pls use letter notations as it is more known.

  • @ed9709
    @ed9709 6 лет назад

    I dont understand the American music note terms.pls either use the letter notation or the number notation to identify the notes.
