Tyla is a good artist and congrats to her but there shouldn't be any comparison. Tems is on a whole different level, she is a singer, song writer and director. she was written for Beyonce, Rihanna and other top artists.

Why were none of these conversations had when Nigerian artists were winning these a awards a few years ago? As for Tyla she still has the hughest number of views online for the solo performances at the 2024 BET awards so dont just try to say theres noyhing special or something she did and that it all was handed to her.
What sort of a baseless argument is this????. Did you check some other categories where they also fixed her: viewers choice award alongside Beyonce, Doja cat, Lil Durk, Jcole, Victoria Monet, Drake, Sexy red, SZA,Jack Harlow, mini long, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B. How and who in their right mind will do so if not under heavy sponsorship. Things are gradual, these are gods and goddesses in Music, these are people that had sold out Thousands of arena capacities, these are music monsters for years and then paired with TYLA?, things don't just work that way on it's own. If you're educated enough or exposed enough, you should know better. You type as if you don't have very powerful global Musicians from south Africa who weren't even nominated. We're talking about South Africans with pure hit songs that the world vibes to and they've been on their A game for Years yet TYLA with how many albums?, Before Last year weren't there hit songs from south Africa?, Jerusalema took the world, thetr were other songs and dances still reigning yet just like other countries, they're winning awards hete and there, you don't need glasses to see through such. I even talked about our Nigerian TEMS. Is she a gospel musician, who paired her with global Gospel artiste just cos of one song?, Does she sing better than other Nigerian artistes? isn't that supposed to make you understand that it's not about your merits?, please, don't bring that Childish sentiment here. If you want to throw tantrum, go elsewhere except you don't understand English.
We weren't trashing others when we were dominating these awards, we sure weren't making comparisons.
I hear you my sister. It's always the useless among us fans who succumb to the destructive marketing strategy of pitting nation artists against each other. The artists themselves work together all the time, regardless of their national boundaries. Davido works with South African producers all the time, South Africa's Black Coffee works with Nigerian artists all the time. And we, the fans wanna compare them? Foolish!
