They are supposed to have a long lifespan of 8+ years or something under normal conditions, but time will tell if that's actually true. I have them for 3 years now and i am happy with them. Nice to know that they are also somewhat ok for the track, if i decide to bring my Punto there one day.
"ok" for the track is kind of a stretch if you hear the amount of squeal theyre getting even in slight curves. I bet those tires aren't looking great even after one hard lap

Maybe the springs and shocks are a bit worn out.
stock alignment. seeing the offset and tire profile with stock height/alignment will surely rub on any heavy compression/turns, esp. on the ring.
My stock dc2r will drag the mudflaps in the lightest compression. Nothing to worry about, it'll clearance itself.

I had an SVT Focus (ST170 in europe) and I wish it had a 6th gear like that. Was really difficult to achieve even 30mpg on the highway with that car.
