@@plutonium09 Tbh Miku’s growl wasn’t very good and even though Haku’s just a lower pitched Miku, it was still a lot better. (In my opinion)

I feel like one of the reasons haku was a "failed" vocaloid is because her voice is much more deeper then miku ,and if we take into account the targeted audience of the vocaloids at the time preferred the high pitched anime-y voices ,which would explain why she was deemed failed even though her voice is actually pretty good ,it was merely a case of being presented to the wrong audience ,as now we see that she has a substantial fan base
@Electric Sunset not particularly, most of the miku derivatives were born because of people just messing around with miku's voice & experimenting, haku happened to have a small fanbase form around her that really liked her but the majority didn't really like her cause her voice wasn't like the high pitched "idol voice" that was common at the time and it also didn't help that it was hard to make songs with haku cause her voice wasn't a unique vocaloid but as you said
"people using miku incorrectly", that was the case with most vocaloid derivatives like akita neru or the kaito brothers (shoin family) so they never really caught on like the official ones, still tho they have their die hard fans(me included).
@Electric Sunset that's interesting, I never read into the wiki so I don't know the specifics but this is cool to know. What I am saying is also basically this, that the derivatives were not easy to work with & would most of the time end up sounding bad which led to the whole "miku failure" title but yea for the most part I agree with the wiki.
This is cool, haven't had a nice conversation about vocaloid with someone in years.
I've just discovered her, as well as Neru, and I already love both of them! I've already searched some songs featuring them and wasn't disappointed at all.

they actually use the vocaloid software and configure miku's voice unlike the ones who don't know how to use vocaloid and just pitch the songs key down in audacity or whatever

getting miku is the only way since she's just pitched down miku, you can't download her voicebank for utau either because that would be illegal
