the match I never knew I wanted to see until I saw the headline, damn good match, Kyle O'Reilly is one of my favorite wrestlers and shibata was a killer before he was injured and had to step away from wrestling, its good to see him back now even if in a limited capacity
To those talents because they had legitimate neck problems, which caused a lot of issues for Benoit and also for Angle as well but Lesnar's was not that bad since he barely ever took any bad bumps at all because of it, anyways.
Everything about Shibata is brilliant . His technical holds , defence , psychology. Not surprising as he trained MMA. If people compare Hulk Hogan and Shibata and still say Hulk is the better wrestler , you either a 6 year old or big wrestling mark
With triple h in charge and shinsuke being allowed to wrestle muta in Noah if I was triple h I’d let aj styles do a one off match at wrestlekingdom for a shibata appearance him vs Roman for the belts even tho shibata can’t win he will definitely show Roman a different level and it can even be a screwy finish that would be so lit
@@fabiodewitt9140 I AM ALIVE THAT'S ALL man I remember watching shibata face off against Ishii in the G1 23 and his match against Okada at sakura 2017 people look at that match because of Shibata's headbutt which caused him to bleed profusely but to finish off the match I'm glad it worked out or alternatively we would've just had another grave for a great and plus that match we saw shibata Sans best performance by beating the hell out of the rainmaker and almost winning the Iwgp heavyweight championship but now that he returned at wrestle kingdom 16 and faced off against Ren Narita I hope he comes back full time with a proper match which does not last for three minutes without any headbutts with his first opponent as that bastard Kenta as Shibata said Pain is temporary Pride is forever long live the wrestler and now Katsuyori Shibata and ReDragon are back
This was good match except for the times in the match where the guys are not selling and their miracelously come alive after being striken. This has become too prevalent in wrestling.
I mean leaving to pursue MMA definitely hurt him since he was gone when Tanahashi and Nakamura got their pushes and then it seemed like he was getting a push in 2017 until the brain injury took him out for several years
Shibata + O'Reilly + Hattori = Masterpiece of Wrestling
Facts
I wish he didn't get hurt during his match with okada
Wholeheartedly agree! But, that was sadly YEARS of damage in strong style and MMA he suffered finally taken its toll...

The wrestler is back 🥲
Oh this is going to be good.
2 of my favorite strikers in pro wrestling.

If you dont like this, you dont like wrestling
I was about to sayyy, your damn right, 2 of the best strikers in pro wrestling
Field of Honor looked fantastic in that setting.
THIS IS WRESTLING!!!
The German suplex is a destructive move for wrestlers like Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Lesnar, but here is like a slap.
To those talents because they had legitimate neck problems, which caused a lot of issues for Benoit and also for Angle as well but Lesnar's was not that bad since he barely ever took any bad bumps at all because of it, anyways.
Shibata v okada one of my favourite matches of all time
Don’t follow Japanese wrestling extensively but if Shibatas career is truly over, he should consider acting. Dude has presence.
Should of been Shang chi
@@jaythekid2846 I feel like there would be beef if a Japanese man played a Chinese character lol. But definitely get him some acting roles.
@@jaythekid2846 nah shang chi is care free and doesn't really have a scary face
Hello his career is not over after all
guys a megfastar
This is the real style of professional wrestling

Nobody compares Hogan to Shibata tho lol
Who would compare hogan to shibata?, that’s like comparing a gold bar to a copper penny
I can see why they need mouthguard. Spit and sweat all over the place. The elbow strikes and punches are real. 10:08 hard kick. 13:13 hard elbows
These two have great chemistry
Who's here after he showed up at Forbidden door?
Yes. Not familiar with NJPW but still watched the PPV. Loved his theme and looked him up after and heard his story.
This is a match I didn't know I needed to see!
same here
18:35 of pure greatness.
The spirit of ring of honor continues on
Shibata >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Wow ring of honor as given so many talents and dream matches.
He's BAAAAAACK
Okay,after this i am a fan of Shibata👌
I like the audio and the camera's in this match reminds me of old school wrestling
This should have been a pure rules match
Man did a headbutt couple years ago and almost ended his own career
This was when Kyle O'Reilly was a little thicker.
Hopefully Kyle o Reilly returns from injury to challenge for ROH world title like last year
This is one of my favorite wrestling matches to study because I want to be a pro wrestler
This is real pro wrestling
Upload Roderick Strong vs Tanahashi
The history of roh is second to non
this is a fantastic match to love and watch.🤘🤘🤘🤘
I wish there could be a rematch of this.
They actually had second match in NJPW which was better than this match.

Fish’s commentary is awesome. Aew should put him in the booth
What a match.
Buenisimo 👌
Is Shibata back? I know this is old, but I read he was coming back.
technical, submission
I like O Reilly and Shibata of course
もう一度、柴田勝頼がみたい!
And here we go
肩外してレフェリーストップか。。。

Shibata was truly the last of a dying breed. Too bad New japan wasn't going to push him
