I LOVE all your videos! As an American that has never been to Europe, I love being able to see this beautiful city. Keep up with the videos! Plus I love this new picture-in-picture view!
It depends on how the System is set Up. Normally, it is just easyer and faster with using automatic Shutdown. At my Company we do the following Procedere: If Automatic Shutdown happens to often, Dispatch will advise Trams to Stop or Go on, to keep the Power Sections in Balance
@TramMeneer Did you drive through the power line section divider at full power? :D Because that is what I have done a couple of times... and yeah... huge boom, after which the line power dropped for 660 volts to 2 volts...
I was thinking the same at first, but there is no section divider at that particular spot. In The Hague they are marked with a red-yellow band around the pole. So it couldn't have been the reason in this situation...

Lovely day, another great ride, thank you. You were very calm about the power loss, I'd have been freaked out.
Wow! Such public transport is just a dream in my neck of the woods. This so advanced.

Would you be willing or allowed to do a video on what all the controls do for the tram?
Don't substations automatically connect sections of wire if there's a local power outage?

Amerikanen (USA) noemen elektriciteit, power.
Power betekent eigenlijk kracht of macht.
Weer een mooie rit. Bedankt.
Are the electrical sections (which can be electrically isolated from each other) very long?
How do control the speed of the trams? I see no joystick
pedals
wait those trams run embedded windows OS? xD
What is the linevoltage of your trams? 750V dc?
