@@ded4_ I know you aren't asking me, but I really can't recommend "Some People Have Real Problems" enough. It's her most underrated album, and it's so completely different from the rest of her discog. I've listened to all of her albums but it's my favorite, by far. If anyone is reading this, go listen to the album. It's insane. Which is your favorite?
@@GhostlyEcheveria I listened to them all as well! But my favorite has to be Colour The Small One. I've been listening to it since I was a child on a country landscape and had formed many great memories with it. Some people is my second fave one. I was kinda disappointed with reasonable woman though

I unfortunately think she may delay hit, just like Cheap Thrills. Took a long time to cook but it became a summer bop overnight after being out for months.
Somehow, I wasn't expecting to get classic Sia. Although I'm not sure the term "classic" is appropriate here, since I consider her indie rock stuff like "Some People Have Real Problems" (her best album, IMO. Just as a complete art piece.) to be her classics - but maybe that's more "old school" Sia? I don't know. lmao.
Somehow, I'm glad she didn't stray too far from her lane, and it's not often that I say that. She's bringing a sense of nostalgia while bringing something fresh. Also those voice squeaks on "Immortal Queen"? Good lord, her voice is and always has been incredible. There are so many great vocal moments on this album. And she's got Tierra Whack on a track?? I love this woman.
On another note, I credit Sia, Doja, Gaga, and Ariana for finally pulling me into the pop music scene after almost 30 years of resistance. I generally don't like pop music, but you can't deny the raw talent of these women.
And if you haven't listened to "Some People Have Real Problems", PLEASE DO. It's such an a gorgeous, sad, fun, different album. And her voice is insane, as always. You'll probably cry. The lyrical content on that album is some of her best.
I second it. Some people have real problems has her best lyrics along with 1000 forms of fear. I feel like Ben would love We are born as well.

"I Forgive You" is actually Sia's version of the song she did with the french singer and rapper GIMS "Je te pardonne" in 2015. I was so happy to see a solo version of this song out!! By the way, that intro is so quick ("Hellomynameisbenandbacktion!") 😂 have an awesome day Ben!

Immortal Queen and one night and gimme love are SO good. Hopefully you listen to her earlier albums if you haven't already. Healing is difficult is jazzy

We are born is her first pop album and was released when she was at her lowest mentally, which is a contrast with how playfull the sound is.

I hate all of the repetitive choruses on this album. I mean the same phrase over and over in the same chorus. Maybe it makes a good song because it gets to people because it is simple/ a bit childish but it feels so flat and not creative for someone this talented. This + some of the moments I just didn't understand because of the style of singing. I was exhausted after first listen. '1000 forms of fear' is still her best album to me.

Ikr. I miss songs like in the 1000 forms of fear album, more elaborated, with more background vocals, and not just songs with the theme "You can do anything".
We need to understand that Sia is in another place in her life. She has sons, she left her abusive husband, etc. Those songs reflect that. We also need to accept that Sia will never craft an album like 1000fof again, that album is one of a kind.
I mentioned some of the songs being easy and mentioned repetitive lyrics.
