The coolest thing about this song was it really set the mood for the "adult" portion of the Ocarina of Time, letting you know that these temples were going to be a huge step up from the previous dungeons.
My favorite track from this game for sure. It hinges on nightmarish, yet it's calming and feels like it is somehow luring you into a false sense of security. Much like the sirens song. *shutters*
Huh... I always found it super calming, with just a little darkness. I guess that makes since because the I loved the aspect of just how dark the game was.
The painting in the boss room always fascinated me the most. I always assumed it was Ganons Tower in the distance but every time the sun sets and I see a dark structure along the horizon it always comes to mind.
i love this. i wish people in the actual music industry made songs like this (i know there probably are, but none that i have heard of) every song in this soundtrack (and every zelda soudntrack, really) is so unique, i love it.
I remember this temple, is quite easy, but the fucking song always make you feel scared, and that you are going to loose your mind. Really, really, really, really, really fucked up and creepy, and of course that's what make this temple special, that and the puzzles always made me flip the shit out of me is pretty tedious, and is awesome. My favorite temple song with the shadow temple in second and the water temple in third place
This was my favorite temple in the game because even though the temple was the second-to-most frustrating (next to the Water Temple) the song really just captures the mood. And let me tell you something, when you beat this temple with no outside help, you feel a great surge of accomplishment.
This song always scared me when I first played this game because it fits very well with the creepy atmosphere of the temple and the feeling of hopelessness and despair there is once you pull the master sword and see everything you once new in ruins. That’s why I was always so glad once I finished this temple so I can leave those feelings behind and look past them
I know what you mean, back in the day when i first got OoT i didn't even realise that there were gameguides. I finished the entire game on my own and let me tell you, it kicked so much ass
the music in this game is perfection. each piece of music for the temples sounds right. this to me sounds like being in a temple deep in a forest. same for the water temple but under the ocean. spirit temple, far in a desert. there just won't be another game like this
This song is so unnerving but somehow alluring. You know there's danger ahead but you're also curious to explore deeper and deeper and face your ultimate demise; like a venus flytrap enticing it's prey.
this song brings back tons of memories of when I used to play this game late at night also of when my oldest daughter was very young and how young me and my wife were when we first started out in one of our first homes.
This is the actual version. On the N64 it sounded like this. If you listen on the Wii now, it sounds a bit different. The Fire Temple has completely changed. Either way I am mid twenties now, and listen to this song as if were going out of style. Excellent Upload!!
After seeing Mat Graham's metal cover of this song, I can't stop hearing it whilst listening to this. xD But yeah such an awesome, yet eerie piece of music. Brings back great memories =)
This dungeon is perfection. think like the entrance of Doric Greek temples, to think that looks like an art gallery with paintings of ghosts and red cords that are in museums. has a crazy atmosphere that traps you and makes you insane. masterpiece, simply.
This theme makes me think of the magic and illusion being cast upon you in this sacred place. With every room you enter you must ask yourself, is everything truly as it seems?
Ilove how creepy this music is, I didn't play Ocarina as a child, I just played it on the Virtual console, and this is the top track that stood out for me. I actually just stood in the main foyer and just listened.
The soundtrack of this game is perfect , each song , each temple makes me so , so... Arg wordless I was a kid, this song gave me a fear, there the temple was very exciting. Today this song is my favorite of all Zelda
I remember the very first time I heard this my eyes went wide as well as the tips of lips curling as high as possible. I also remember just going into the temple, just to listen to this. It is hauntingly beautiful.
I don't understand why so many people find or have found at least, this music frightening or creepy. It's more mysterious than creepy. I've always found it to be really absolutely beautiful, which is what the temple design is like, beautiful yet mysterious. It almost seems enchanted in a way
*My first time playing.* "Listen!" ""Watch for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling's." ...What...? *Hand lands on me and I shit my pants.*
I want to be a kid again, everything felt so real, and my imagination helped with everything, it was amazing, I miss those times so much, Zelda games make me feel like a kid again, they make me go to the past almost literally, that's why I love them so badly, and the music is sooo beautiful, this one's creepy, I know... but beautiful in a different kind of way...
i just had an argument like this with my dad, who scoffs at me for playing video games, and he reads books all day long. video games especially zelda have inspired me to do so many things in music and creative writing. they are the outlet of imagination for our generation
My favorite temple. I love not only the music, but the atmosphere, design, and challenge. The other temples were a little easy and not as memorable. The Water Temple was a fucking maze of dungeon that drove me insane. This one was 'just right' :)
I remember getting stuck in the Forest temple for a looooong time because it was tricky! and this music was just.. STRESSING me OUT! I played the rest of the level with my TV muted. LOL
Vaguely reminds me of Akira. Completely bought this level to life. Hearing similar echo/reverb effect with vocals from Kanye tracks...that’s what brought me here.
ok so ive listend to like 5 different cut edits of this song, most of them are either off tune or only a minute and a half long. THIS IS THE FULL VERSION FOR THOSE WHO ARE LOOKing, thank you!!!!
Still the best zelda game and best soundtack. i still play OOT, and although every new zelda game that comes out is always a great game. i will never have memories such as the memories i have for OOT. this isnt just the best zelda game but the greatest game ever made. Ingenius Dungeon designs and awesome music. there is a magical feeling to OOT that few zelda games possess.
This music and the temple itself are beautiful. The Wall Masters were creepy the first time I encountered one, but that's it. I don't get freaked out by them now.
The coolest thing about this song was it really set the mood for the "adult" portion of the Ocarina of Time, letting you know that these temples were going to be a huge step up from the previous dungeons.
honestly, jabu jabus bellys boss was the most hardest for me
@@deletedaccount3187 the boomerang was really good... for 3 minutes...
My favorite track from this game for sure. It hinges on nightmarish, yet it's calming and feels like it is somehow luring you into a false sense of security. Much like the sirens song. *shutters*
My fav no doubt is the song of storms/windmill song but this one is my second favorite for the same reasons.
It hinges on nightmarish... I dont think ive ever heard a better description.
*shudders* *
I'll tell you one thing, when they gave us the Forest Temple, they were sending us a message. "We ain't fucking around anymore."
Best Zelda theme ever. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time arguably had one of the best video game soundtracks of it's time.
This song is crazy. I've always loved the forest temple for it's environment and music; it manages to be both eerie but peaceful in a way.
The best atmospheric sounding theme for a creepy place ever made right here.
I always found this music and this whole temple creepier than all the others, including the Shadow Temple (Which is my personal favourite)
a masterpiece... so few sounds but the feelings created by this are so incredible!
This song have sound of childhood for me
When I was young, this song wasn't scared me but this song gimme a feeling of mystery and the feeling to search more in this temple.
This temple always scared the shit out of me when I would go through it. I also could never remember where to go, or what to do.
True man
Word. :/
Boss was good though.
+SuperYoshi1213 damn poes....
Huh... I always found it super calming, with just a little darkness. I guess that makes since because the I loved the aspect of just how dark the game was.

Aw, I love this, so relaxing. Thanx 4 putting it up!
The song and atmosphere of the forest temple was haunting, this is one of my all time favorite video games
all i could do was smile as soon as this started playing as I hit this blunt and drift off into the land of Hyrule
Frickin' love this song. The Forest Temple is my favorite of the 5.
when i went into the temple and heard that music i kinda felt relaxed
I remember this temple, is quite easy, but the fucking song always make you feel scared, and that you are going to loose your mind.
Really, really, really, really, really fucked up and creepy, and of course that's what make this temple special, that and the puzzles always made me flip the shit out of me is pretty tedious, and is awesome.
My favorite temple song with the shadow temple in second and the water temple in third place
Ahhh...the memories. This is my favorite temple music. I haven't played this game in years and its the only one I remembered.
Love this theme! One of the things that made the Forest Temple just about perfect.
Weird, we share the first name of "Alex" and I just wrote a prose about how video games are a huge collection of many forms of art. Props dude, props.
This was my favorite temple in the game because even though the temple was the second-to-most frustrating (next to the Water Temple) the song really just captures the mood. And let me tell you something, when you beat this temple with no outside help, you feel a great surge of accomplishment.
No other game/music in that game can out-do this game and its beautiful music. The BEST ever made!
Cool theme, and very fitting for the Forest Temple, especially the courtyard where you can see the top of the castle walls.
what a dreamy! i could hear this for hours...
The song would play even when my N64 was off......
the music in this game is perfection. each piece of music for the temples sounds right. this to me sounds like being in a temple deep in a forest. same for the water temple but under the ocean. spirit temple, far in a desert. there just won't be another game like this
I could listen to this games soundtrack all day long. Its sad that newer games don't have music like this anymore.
This song is so unnerving but somehow alluring. You know there's danger ahead but you're also curious to explore deeper and deeper and face your ultimate demise; like a venus flytrap enticing it's prey.
The song holds a special place in my heart
this song is amazing. Brings back memories.
this song brings back tons of memories of when I used to play this game late at night also of when my oldest daughter was very young and how young me and my wife were when we first started out in one of our first homes.
whole ocarina of time soundtrack is unique, but this, this is priceless.
this is my favorite temple in Oot
it seems so ancient
Every time I listen to this I rock back and forth.
This is the actual version. On the N64 it sounded like this. If you listen on the Wii now, it sounds a bit different. The Fire Temple has completely changed. Either way I am mid twenties now, and listen to this song as if were going out of style. Excellent Upload!!
Such relaxing music :) It makes me sleepy, and it brings back so many memories. ♥
Man I love this theme so much!
This temple scared me so bad as a kid. Whenever I walk down a dark hallway or i'm home alone, this is the music playing in my head.
my favorite temple and my favorite song! it brings back memories.
After seeing Mat Graham's metal cover of this song, I can't stop hearing it whilst listening to this. xD
But yeah such an awesome, yet eerie piece of music. Brings back great memories =)
It's amazing once you realize the Forest Temple would've never been as haunting if it didn't have this song. This music makes the dungeon what it is.
My childhood!!
i love the start to this song its so good i was trying to remember it when i heard a sort of new song had the same start
My Heart Still starts Racing When ever I here that music It Drove me Insane in my childhood...
my favorite temple music. i listen to this song on repeat a lot.
listens to song... gets nostalgia... hugs n64 for still working =') good thing i can still play these games the good old ways.
I loved this temple. This came real close to being second to Shadow Temple, but the music for the Forest Temple was enough to take first place.
I love this music and this temple! I miss this temple!
i love this song.. it's so peaceful.. and sorta mysterious
I played this game when it first came out in 98, this was definitely my favorite Temple music.
Ilove how creepy this music is, I didn't play Ocarina as a child, I just played it on the Virtual console, and this is the top track that stood out for me. I actually just stood in the main foyer and just listened.
Love this song, good times.
Hey, did anyone else really actually feel like they were going insane after they heard this song for the first time?
No? Just me? K. Gotcha.
I did. I was right.....
@PoseidonKross2009 Man you're so right about that! The atmosphere of this temple was just so eughkgjhgj ...shivering.
The soundtrack of this game is perfect , each song , each temple makes me so , so... Arg wordless
I was a kid, this song gave me a fear, there the temple was very exciting.
Today this song is my favorite of all Zelda
I love how this temple had a creepy ass fun house feel to it. I love it!💚💚💚
The forest temple is my favorite temple :D
I remember the very first time I heard this my eyes went wide as well as the tips of lips curling as high as possible. I also remember just going into the temple, just to listen to this. It is hauntingly beautiful.

1:03 AAAAHH...!!! That was my reaction to that part. It scared the crap out of me
*My first time playing.*
"Listen!"
""Watch for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling's."
...What...?
*Hand lands on me and I shit my pants.*
I want to be a kid again, everything felt so real, and my imagination helped with everything, it was amazing, I miss those times so much, Zelda games make me feel like a kid again, they make me go to the past almost literally, that's why I love them so badly, and the music is sooo beautiful, this one's creepy, I know... but beautiful in a different kind of way...
best temple in the game, and my favorite dungeon in Zelda history
as a kid this gave me the creeps i was playing yesterday, got here and was like ugh same feeling lol
i just had an argument like this with my dad, who scoffs at me for playing video games, and he reads books all day long. video games especially zelda have inspired me to do so many things in music and creative writing. they are the outlet of imagination for our generation
My favorite temple. I love not only the music, but the atmosphere, design, and challenge. The other temples were a little easy and not as memorable. The Water Temple was a fucking maze of dungeon that drove me insane. This one was 'just right' :)
My fav temple, this song's kinda creepy, but so mysterious and beautiful
The Forest Temple music and Shadow temple music always scared the crap outta me!
Navi: "Watch for the shadows of Monsters that hang from the ceiling..."
Link: "O_ô..."
THE NOSTALGIA... IT BURNS!
I love how beautiful and hauting this theme is! Very elusive but in plain sight--ya know?
The hand that drops from the ceiling is probably the GREATEST buzz kill in Ocarina Of Time
Brings back memories!
when i played this game about 1999, this song liked so much to me ... hypnotic chords :D
When i used to hear this song as a kid i thought there was no return for a part of us from the forest temple... so mysterious
This was my favorite temple to play! :D
I remember when I was kid back in the day playing this game... This song scared the SHIT out of me lol
I remember getting stuck in the Forest temple for a looooong time because it was tricky! and this music was just.. STRESSING me OUT! I played the rest of the level with my TV muted. LOL
the legend of zelda that shit is my life all i remember doing playing this game i love it its nice to get to kno my self again :)
Ahhh this brings back memory's
The forest temple is very dream-like. It's one of a kind.
I never understood the shouting at around 1:03. I always thought they reused Link's grunting and sped them up.
I think that too! Hahah but It is weird... Still great but strange/creepy!
***** Oh my god. It actually is! That's amazing. I always like seeing when old songs in video games use samples.
I don't think anyone could have put that better. I completely agree :D
Vaguely reminds me of Akira. Completely bought this level to life. Hearing similar echo/reverb effect with vocals from Kanye tracks...that’s what brought me here.
You're a Gay fish..
The Forest Temple and the Spirit Temple are my favorites. They are both puzzling and mysterious. ;)
this is just my favorite track in zelda series
This temple was so wierd :( The rooms, the concept, the music... I think it has a lot of mysteries we don't know of...
ok so ive listend to like 5 different cut edits of this song, most of them are either off tune or only a minute and a half long. THIS IS THE FULL VERSION FOR THOSE WHO ARE LOOKing, thank you!!!!

This music and the temple itself are beautiful. The Wall Masters were creepy the first time I encountered one, but that's it. I don't get freaked out by them now.
This is even creepier to me than the original Lavender Town Theme, and that one is already one hell of a nightmare
yes yes yes yes. I usually go through Ocarina of Time again every couple of years or so and I always forget about that hand until it happen.
Nostalgic music right here
This was the best temple, in the best game in the Zelda series.
