Gloucester airport has a great cafeteria. I remember Cranfield used to get really busy at weekends back in the 80's, CIT Gliding club, 3 flying clubs, vintage jets, London skydiving were based here for a while too with their Shorts Skyvan, R22's and Jet Rangers you name it and all with one controller at the helm, shame EGTC is so quiet now.
This was not helpful to traffic approaching: The C42 was reported executing early over the numbers crosswind; the C42 was wide of the numbers; ATC reported the C42 over the numbers when it was clearly late/into the downwind and wide of the numbers. The C42 failed to report late downwind which would have assisted awareness of the aircraft reporting descending deadside and asked to maintain (for spacing). If you are approaching from the overhead, please make accurate and appropriate calls. Do not rely upon ATC as you have a much better awareness of your location. The number of times I have failed to see aircraft based on their inacurrate location calls are numerous. Dare say others find this too...
Blimey flip! Busy old place! Well done that great controller. 😮
God i love Gloucester it gets so busy top job with the tower.
My word, that did sound busy and local knowledge clearly plays a part too. Well done to the tower for coping so well too!
the controllers at EGBJ never fail to impress me - with no radar too!
Oh! Hope to be flying in on my QXC next week. Yikes! Thank you for posting, the best view I've seen of the righthand circuit, which is new to me 😅
If it's already happened I hope it went well. If it has still to happen good luck.
@@mothmagic1 Hopefully next Monday 😃

Love flying into EGBJ in my Auster, great airfield, always fun
That's a quiet day at Kemble 😄😄😄✌️👍💜
That's quiet. One on final, one taking off and three in the circuit is starting to get a little busy.
Great ATC
Not heard it that busy since my GST 🙂
Fixed the burst pipe then?
