I'm 57, Back in the day when I was 12-13 my Dad and I would cut fire wood in the summer. He ran an old Mcculloch. No idea of the model. He''d get the trees on the ground and I would limb them with an axe. Then I'd then pull them out with a 1954 Farmall 100 (still have it and it''s still a working tractor) to a clearing. After we had 10-15 trees on the ground Dad would come buck them and I would split with an axe, It was amazing how efficent the two of us were, I miss him and those times!
I keep coming back to this saw. The way she sits there on the log, idling, waiting to be turned loose and more than ready to take on anything you throw at her... ✊🏻🌳🌲❤️ That saw has seen things. I'm glad she found a good home with you ☺️
Mac is back! Something about these old yeller saws.. can hear it instantly that old Mac pop! Love it. Never owned a 125 but have many other Mac’s and I will agree. Best in the world.
Hi buckin. Just love seeing ya using the old saws, I can smell it through the screen and I’m in 🇬🇧. And maybe some time soon maybe another look into your shed I can never get bored of looking and hearing the old saws
Took my dad’s old saw engine from the garage and tossed it on a little mini bike frame. That thing COOKS! Yer the man Billy Ray, always appreciate your knowledge and outlook on life. Keep on buck’n my friend 🌲
My dad and I still have several p38s hanging around very close. I believe he's still got his on his key ring. He's had it there as long as I can remember and I'm 42
Hey Mr Bucken thanks for wearing the hoodie as I bought one the other day it's got a long trip to Tasmania. I still love watching you. Keep up the good work
Love seeing this MAC. Bought my second one today. Starred with a pro 1010 and now I think this is either 300, 250 super or one of the 1-50 series. It has the black top but all is worn away. Can't wait to run it. Thank you for these videos.
What an awesome saw!! I have never had the opportunity to run one of those, but hope to get my hands on one and experiance for myself!!! Awesome footage brother, that saw makes ya happy I can tell from the smiles😊😊
Great to see ya using an old saw again! Wish I could get my hands on one of those old Macs. They are hard to find here in VA. All I ever see for sale are the small ones.
I don't speak that good mac an ese, but I think the saw said ( Is this 5 foot stick all ya got) . Buckin what a lesson in how to respect a saw .the way you give it time to get some air ,good stuff!
That thing is RIDONKULOUS!! Love it! I have my buddy's grandpa's McCulloch 200. It is super fun to run. I use it about once/month, only on clean fir to make sauna food.
Where can I get me one of those!? ❤ Much Love Billie!! You’re my digital mentor brother. I’m studying & training to be an Arborist. ::Cheers:: Good day to you friend 🤘😋🤘
I got a 10-10 last week and got one of these in the mail yesterday. Gonna rebuild the carb and replace gaskets and possibly crank bearings so theres less chance of bad things happening. What all needs done to large mount husky bars to fit. Im thinking about going from the 48" that came with it to around 32 maybe 36"
SP125 has some interesting specs. 23 pounds, 7.5 cubic inches, 20:1 mix with only 70 octane requirement. Produced only three years 1969-1971. Makes them rare gem! Anyone else look them up? Makes them larger than Husqvarna 3120 by cu. Inches!
Help needed! Can a dolmar 7900 3/8 1.6 guide be used on the 880 / 881 ? Thanks for the answer and effort :) Is it possible to adapt it to 880? I have 130 and 190 cm bars for Dolmar and now I would switch to 880 with as little cost as possible. Could you write some dimensions of the 880 bars so I can try to compare them :)
I'm still around Not doing well and thanks for to talk u reached out to me. Still not sure if I'm supposed to be here or not Take care and love ur channel
Greetings Friend how long did your shoulder surgery take to heal? I am at 11 weeks from surgery. How long did your surgery take to feel confident pounding wedges? I have been under the knife 15 times now, not new to pain and surgery. I really do not want to mess the shoulder up. I need it. Got things to do and people needing my help. Thank you.
That is a gutsy old saw , by the sound she doesn't seem to struggle at all when working, but what about the Husky 2100cd ? Big motors but the Mac appears to run at a higher RPM.
I miss having a manual oiler on a chainsaw. I've had way too many automatic oilers go bad, once they do you usually have to spend more than the saw is worth to fix them.
???? More then the saw is worth??? I just dropped a new oiler in one of my 372s a couple of weeks ago, and it was only like $20-$25 bucks and took about 15 minutes to do...

Missed a golden opportunity to name this video "Return of the Mac". 🙂
I was told by an older gentleman that the 125s were a great motor for go karts back in the day. I'm not quite old enough for that.
My dad had a go kart with 2 of those engines on it
@austinszafranski8548 my dad drove an Astro van
might have been back then, this engine is pure crap compared to a `125 dirtbike engine
Hi buckin. Just love seeing ya using the old saws, I can smell it through the screen and I’m in 🇬🇧. And maybe some time soon maybe another look into your shed I can never get bored of looking and hearing the old saws
a love that sound on that old saw. like music to my ears
Those old Macs sound like a hot rod back in the day when they are idling, no saw ever sounded like that. Thanks for running one again
Love the sound of that 125 and how it rips rite through the wood!
That saw is awesome! That's the perfect size log to show the power that thing has.
So glad you are able to help out Daryl.
Awesome when you bring out the big Mac’s n Pioneer’s. Thank you!

Took my dad’s old saw engine from the garage and tossed it on a little mini bike frame. That thing COOKS! Yer the man Billy Ray, always appreciate your knowledge and outlook on life. Keep on buck’n my friend 🌲

Sounds like my childhood, Buckin. Dad ripping crap up, and me having to build slag piles, brush piles, and hump wood to the truck! Ha!
I don't speak that good mac an ese, but I think the saw said ( Is this 5 foot stick all ya got) . Buckin what a lesson in how to respect a saw .the way you give it time to get some air ,good stuff!

Ive got its little brother the sp105. Just finished fitting a stihl duro bar to it and you weren't wrong about having to modify the bar alot
Nice saw it’s a beast you are having to much fun
The 125 is a beast. Love ya, thank you.
Right on!
Look at that saw. haven't seen it out for a run in ages!

Some vintage tools and equipment definitely fill a special place for some folks… the sound of this ole saw and wood chips flying out are very cool! ✌️
You got that right!
Can't wait to see you in Nova Scotia😃💪🤘Take care👊
Buckin billy ray I like that 125sp ❤😊
I knew that was a McCulloch saw as soon as I heard it. Best chainsaw ever. Do you know where I can purchase parts for one?
Never seen a saw spit chips like that! Amazing. So powerful, but so heavy.

Man I love the sound of that saw.
A 2 stroke with reeds make some freakin steam! 100% Buckin. 💪👌
I just had a vision of one of these running a push bike ,really well bar included 😅
Ahh there's my dream machine. Thanks for draggin it out, Buckin! Maybe you're in good enough shape to ride in an airplane. Lol💪
This is the most badass chainsaw in the world! I wish i would have the oppotunity to try one! I have a mc 6-10 wich i love. 😊
I wondered how long it would be before you got an old Mac out. Class.
I never get tired of hearing that 125 Mac... lol
That 125 sounded like it really came alive after 3-4 minutes of running . MAN that sucker is a TORQUE monster . :)
All I can do is smile lol I would love to run one someday
Help needed!

Chipspitter no 1, what a torque and power. She cuts ay!!!
Man i love you Brother
Love ya
Hi Helga!
How old is thar 125 , Buckin ? It runs good . Thanks
Oh buckin. You won’t have to worry about not eating when you get to Nova Scotia. That Nova Scotian hospitality will take care of that.
I am trying to rebuild an old Mac, Could you tell me where you get your parts?
G'day Buckin, most saws these days sound the same, not that old torque monster 👍.
PS It might be a bowl of clam chowder in N/S.
Do you think I could use that saw sound for a ring tone?
I'm still around
Not doing well and thanks for to talk u reached out to me.
Still not sure if I'm supposed to be here or not
Take care and love ur channel
One day the Precious will be mine.... 😍
Speaking of that ironhorse p38 I’d love to see that in action again
I run a mac700 it's a beast but heavy.Also i have my dad's L65 husqvarna and I love it.
It looks like it vibrates around less at idle than my new ms 462. Maybe the heavier weight of the Big Mac ?
What a BEAST

Never had surgery. I just wait for healing
@BuckinBillyRaySmith I love what you do for folks. You humbly share your knowledge and going to help those folks is right on. God bless you my friend.
Hey Buckin. How many 125’s do you have?
What years were they produced?
Hot Knife meet Butter!!
That is a gutsy old saw , by the sound she doesn't seem to struggle at all when working, but what about the Husky 2100cd ? Big motors but the Mac appears to run at a higher RPM.
Honesty breeds freedom. 😃❤️👍
Finally giving the Macs a run
Buckin has to be the most humble man on the planet on RUclips since Moses....
Big MAC o yeah
I miss having a manual oiler on a chainsaw. I've had way too many automatic oilers go bad, once they do you usually have to spend more than the saw is worth to fix them.
???? More then the saw is worth??? I just dropped a new oiler in one of my 372s a couple of weeks ago, and it was only like $20-$25 bucks and took about 15 minutes to do...
Like buckin a stem with a moto x bike with a bar& chain in place of the back wheel😁❤️😁
My first power saw was a Mcculloch pro max 60…if I remember correctly.
A new old stock125 sold 4 yrs ago. I wished I heard about it sooner😢
