- This video explains about Freedom of press and its related protection provided in the Indian Constitution . There are no provisions that expressly provide for the Freedom of Press. However, Freedom of press can be implied from Article 19(1)(a) of the constitution that deals with freedom of speech and expression .

A citizen according to our Indian constitution has been given the fundamental right for freedom of speech and expression ( Article 19) .
The above freedom is subject to certain restrictions. Along with that we have authorities regulating the press .
So , if you adhere to the legal limit and your rights provided you can provide any information to the press as well.
However , if the information is for furtherance of only personal interests it would definitely be filtered by the authority or the constitution itself .
