As always a great review! I have exactly that one and love it. Works great for my boat trailer and my Ford Explorer.
Cool little compressor, thanks for the demo 👌
Them little units like that , they will not only over heat easy they will catch on fire 🔥 Recharging
Thank you, I will say an air unit is a must, I had flat on major highway In Canada $300 for tow truck no air pump flat spare ,Ouch
You do a great job with these kind of reviews. Keep it up. Love your channel.
On any of these compressors that run off your vehicles battery it helps quite a bit to have the engine running while using the unit. Running the engine bumps your voltage up from 12.6 to around 14 volts which helps the compressor draw less amps, run faster, and produce less heat.
been using the ryobi one for a few years, good thing all my power tools uses the same battery
I have the Rigid inflator. $59 and it seems better than this one for sure. And like you, I already had the batteries.
I have the Ryobi system too and was thinking about purchasing their compressor. Would you buy it now knowing what you know?
@@corydriver7634 Yeah I would buy it again. Even if you don't have any other Ryobi tools, now it was a simple smart choice for me as I have 5 other Ryobi tools that use the same battery. I have several genuine Ryobi batteries, but they cost more then the Ebay non genuine batteries, I do have one of the non genuine batteries and works fine on all my Ryobi tools, including the compressor, but the Ryobi chainsaw I also have it tends to complain as the chainsaw always wants more juice. But to add it all up, as a stand alone unit it works great, not to expensive, and is made by a reliable company, and if in time you want more Ryobi tools, you can share the batteries, also, they make two chargers, one charges from main power, and one that chargers of 12v, and seeing I go hunting/camping/fishing being able to charge the batteries in the field is another bonus! Hope my long winded response helped.
Cool little unit! Thanks NNKH
A friend of mind got one of them from Amazon. He used it 3 times and it blew up. Good luck with yours.
I actually have one of these, its pretty good for what it is,my main problem with it though is that once it loses a bar of charge on the display it very quickly won't charge past 30psi,if you keep it on charge constantly then you're ok though,i'm only using it on bicycle tyres too.
It runs on my Jeep accessory outlet ( cig lighter type ) then blows fuse😵💫 just like other ones I’ve tried so I put alligator ends on and go right to battery works pretty good👍
Thanks for the review.
Should test the Milwaukee air compressor. I absolutely love mine. I’ve never durability tested mine before
I think he does these reviews for a bit of money from the companies.
@@cjjobin7970 yea I kinda realized that after I wrote it. I’m sure they send them to him for free and give him some money for an honest review which is totally fine by me. I enjoy these videos
Which model do you have? How long have you had it? I'm deep in the milwaukee platform but don't have their inflator
@@darinmorgante7200 I have the m18 model and use the 5.0 batteries in it and it’s a a been super good so far. I’ve had it for almost a year now and can fill probably 4 or more pickup tires to 80psi on a charge. Pump doesn’t seem to get to hot and you can tell they use quality parts. It’s something I can definitely recommend.
@@darinmorgante7200 also yea it’s the inflator not the big compressor they sell
i have a similar one from a different brand, works well for your typical side of the road refill. also mine works as a normal usb battery, not sure if this does, i didn't see it mentioned and i don't see it on amazon.
HI CHRIS ,,I COULD USE ONE OF THESE FOR MY AIR SHOCKS IN THE BACK OF MY CAR TO LIFT IT UP ,... INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE GAS STATION.. THANKS..
hey Chris!
Excellent video Chris :) also be interesting know if can use compressor when vechiles running too on 12 volt cable for 30 mins at time! My 200 PSI Air Compressor found works better with engine running then when engine off not as much also mine no battery on small midsize portable one I have ! My can do 4 tires before let cooling down and I have good luck with it did lots hours on ! One I have has Flashlight or Flasher feature and long power cord do long van or truck also had since 2005 brand new got from Company did tow truck service calls with years ago!
NNKH NOTI CREW 🕶️
I like it better than the one I bought from Walmart because I don’t like a dial display. The LED display is preferable to me.
That with a tyre plug kit would be great for drivers a distance from tyre shops or gas stations.

hi there, great review as always, I have a question not related to the compressor but to your DODGE, do you know where on the chassis is the full vin number stamped ? All i could find was stickers and plates put on the body/chassis but i couldn't find the vin stamped directly on the chassis, thank you in advance
I'm not sure. All I know of is the stickers and plates
@@NNKH2 thanks for thre reply, have a nice weekend
any 12v plug in/portable inflators that will do 80-90psi on a truck/trailer tire? can be annoying to need to make a stop to get air or drag a compressor and generator to a remote area ect.. ive made a cheap one do it a few times but it does kill them rather quickly anything over 50psi theyre not happy
How accurate was the psi reading compared to a good known gauge. I've had a few small once, not very accurate.
This one seemed to be accurate within a few PSI
Going by some of the comments saying the unit struggles at lower voltage, i wonder what the battery specs are of this unit ? Is it lithium ion pack using 18650 cells ? If yes, what brand / chemistry ? Is it a pack / multi packs of lithium polymer ?
Good review Chris
Is this only for trucks and SUV’s or for any vehicle?
Very nice!
Not a bad pump but the hose needs to be longer and the universal clamp maybe screw on on one side. Would be better after time the clamp wears out from the value
U run 75psi in them tyres ? 😮
❤ get the big eye pump it's better 💪
It seems like a great air pump; but for me I am not a big fan of the clamp on end. I would much rather have a longer air tube that screws on on one end or both ends. Sure the clamp on ends are quicker to get on and off; but I have had them fail on me before after some use. The screw on ends can have an issue if you cross thread them though. With my current air pump it runs off the 12v and the hose is long enough I can easily reach all four wheels without taking the pump out of my car. Pumps up from 0 to 35 a a few minutes also and a little bit longer if the car isn't running.
I also did notice that, when you start your car pump speeds up!
So on the old deisel, drop it in a boat. How great would that be.
great review! remember at 120 watts, on a 12v supply, make sure you are connected to a circuit capable of 10 amps or more. we don't want a fire!
Hey Chris…on the subject of compressed air could you do a vid on installing a complete (economy) version of air lines, taps, air dryer for your new shop? I’m guessing you probably already had this in mind would like to see your “ no nonsense” approach to doing it affordably with Pex. Or some salvaged pipe materials.
Honestly I'll probably just throw a couple hoes reels in and call it a day. It's not that big of a shop where it needs connections all over.
Car lift in new garage should be a good video
Im coming to Philly in a few days. Pats or Genos for a Philly cheese steak?
Can't go wrong with either honestly. In fact any cheesesteak joint in Philly has got good stuff from my experience
@@NNKH2 appreciate it
@@NNKH2 tried both, Im going with Genos. Lol
Good job.
That one I have just stopped working no power!
I like it ,
batterie = 6000mA = 6 A . 12 volt x 6A= 75 whatt chargeur 5 volt x2 A = 10 whatt /heure donc 7.5 heure de charge......
well 2A is 2000mA so a 6000mA-H battery should (theoretically) last what....3Hrs? Personally I would not advise running that thing full bore for 3 hours straight lol
Where is Gus today?
I find if you start the car the pump runs quicker
Yes
Didn't want to start my Cummins to get 2.5 extra volts
Works better if you have the car running. In my experience
Thanks, but this item has some very poor ratings; there are much better units that will do the job(AUTO tires) for maybe a few more $$.
3X 18650 batteries at 2000mah capacity each.
Standard practice for Chinese manufactureres to use cheap cells like these.
When they die i would ultimately replace them with 3200 mah LG or Samsung cells which would have a lifespan far greater than the original ones.
I don't even need a new tyre inflator ,so what the hell am i talking about ?
My name is Joe Bulls eye sorry my bad
