🏆Do you think the Sportage potential drawbacks outweigh its strengths for your needs?🤔 🔴2025 Mazda CX-50 Turning Auto Industry UPSIDE DOWN 👉 ruclips.net/video/n2OQsBxauKc/видео.html
I bought a 2024 Sportage SX Prestige in Wolf Grey with the Carmine Red Interior. My wife loves it! It's an extremely comfortable car to drive and take on road trips. It's loaded with all the bells and whistles. Panoramic Sunroof, Ventilated Seats, 360 degree cameras, Dual 12 inch infotainment display, Premium Sound System, excellent navigation. My favorite feature of the car is how well the lane assist feature works. So much better than any other car I've rented as far as the reaction time and ease of use. It's not the most powerful SUV around, but people are not buying this car for the towing capacity, and it moves fast enough for my liking. I love all the tech packed into this vehicle and it looks really nice. The only 2 things I don't love about this car is 1. There is no way to turn off the cargo light when the power hartch is open, and 2. The subwoofer kinda stinks, but that's ok, I plan on getting a JBL spare tire subwoofer installed soon. Kia really is making some high tech vehicles that look great.
I'm buying an ex premium with red leather vented seats. Test drive like a dream, stear is tight, suspension is like driving on controlled clouds, price is decent. Why do you need crazy hp and offroad? Luxury, dependability, comfort and space seem most important.
It's interesting that the 6 reasons listed are not reasons anyone is going to buy a Sportage anyway. i agree with other commenters that this list is a bit bogus.
Owner of a 2023 LX model here: After two-and-a-half full years with the gas-powered engine, me and my wife are IN LOVE with the sweet, sweet ride!!! Reliability, quality, suspension, ergonomics, miles-per-gallon, our Sportage will be in the family for a l-o-n-g time!!!!!!
I have had my 2011 Kia Sportage since April 2011. Mine is the turbo. It has about 238k on it. It still looks awesome. My turbo has not gone out since I purchased it. The maintenance has been minimal. I have been super-pleased with it. I paid 24k after tax and it’s lasted me 12 solid years. I have had just minor issues. I would definitely buy another Sportage.
In June 2020 I was sSOOOOOO excited to by my first truck, a 2020 Ford F-150. By early 2022 (March) I had an engine leak which exposed a MAJOR transmission issue. I sold the truck. Never again Ford.
Know this comment is old. But my friend is a mechanic (also tried dating), in the market for a suv for more room for my work/storing personal items.. He would not let me even glance at a Ford. He said he’s so sick and tired of seeing them. They’re the most seen car at his job.
This is such a bogus list. I drove a PHEV Rav4 which costs 10k more and it was like the stone age compared to the sportage. Talk about boring to drive... Have you ever actually drove these 2 vehicles??
I'm actually really happy with my X-Line. I splurged for the premium package and got the power lift gate and sunroof so I feel like it has a touch more prestige than its competitors at the same price point even with the added charge. I also find it to be incredibly responsive and very fun to drive. The driving aids are truly helpful and have eliminated my driving fatigue making every mile far more comfortable and safer too. Also, the locking diff has already saved my ass on a snow drifted out road last winter. Lastly, the first time anyone gets in my car, the first thing they say is "wow". Not saying it's perfect for everyone, but definitely perfect for me.
That's our average ( 37.8)MPG in our 2023 EX non hybrid with 36,000 miles, tows my 1622 Action Craft very well, it is black with light grey interior that looks almost white, we take it to Orlando almost every month and that trip is usually between 42 to 44 mpg for the entire round trip including driving around there , it has plenty of power to drive any where , I don't know why people need a Ferrari to get around , of all my cars, vans and trucks through out my life the only car faster than this, was my 1988 IROC-Z and I never notice they were too slow.
Very well made and comfortable to drive. Gas mileage is 35 to 40 on highway and 26 to 28 in town. Not a hybrid either. I love mine. Haven't seen any with my color.
I will say I love mine. I feel it does great on gas, handles great in snow, handles great on ice with traction control off. The only place I don’t like the handling is on deep gravel, but thats to be expected. We have replaced the carrier bearing, lower control arms, and both front bearings. It was cheap to have done. I haven’t used mine to tow. The only thing I hate is the width of the door jam on sides of windshield. I don’t like how much it cuts into visibility and where they are located in view. The wheels are in a bit of a strange location when switching from driving a lexus, so it took me a little bit to get used to that. The mirrors are small and back up lights suck, but those are cheap upgrades. The driver low beam continually burns out, I have not had it fixed by mechanic yet. The price of insurance due to thefts is ridiculous. That is the main problem I have with my Kia. Insurance companies are STICKING it hard to owners because of punks stealing them. It is unfair. I have had mine for several years and have made many cross country trips in it and love it. Just wish the headlight would quit frying… but I’ll fix that later😂
People rag on the 2.5L standard engine but really it's absolutely fine. It's smooth, a little loud at times (as it needs to rev to make most of its power). I really disagree about the 8 speed transmission, it's excellent, extremely smooth, does not hunt gears. The best conventional auto tranny I've used. The fuel economy isn't great. If gas wasn't so cheap it would bother me. I've rarely seen more than 23 combined on my work commute; highway driving is a lot better and the car generally is a great mile-eater. Where the Sportage really kills it is build quality and interior. It's very, very solid. Had a major accident in mine (hit and run driver destroyed his own car and fled on foot) and the car just needed a corner replaced. No frame damage, did not even lose alignment. I trust this car.
Don’t be negative about this model because it’s not true about your review; this is my 3rd Kia Sorento I owned without any problems! See others reviews for more information and better advice in regard to 3:53 this model… sorry but you are wrong
I tripped across this while watching something else. I am from Australia and assume the US has the same models as we do. My Sportage GT Line (top of the range) is 3 yrs old - turbo 2litre diesel. Just finished a 7500km (4500 mile) trip from central Qld via Broken Hill to South Australia and back - achieved 6.5 litres/100km - in the imperial system that is 43 mpg and I didn't spare the horses as there is long stretches of nothing out there. Without getting into details I detect the same theme in this presentation as we get here in Australia. "The Toyota is better". Now I seriously looked at the RAV initially - however, the KIA came out as the better vehicle. Considering that the KIA is larger internally and better performing with better ride and handling and more features than a more expensive RAV it was really no contest. So - the theme of this review is precisely the same as in Australia and seriously raises the question of whether Toyota is paying to get the KIA Sportage rubbished to protect the sales of RAV. As a previous contributor here said - these 6 reasons are hardly a deal-breaker!
Diesel engine not available in the Sportage the US. Diesel fuel is much more expensive than petrel, so diesel engines other than heavy duty pickups are not widely available in the US.
Buy it : i was going to buy BMW x1 , after waiting 7 months to come i cancel my order. İ had 2016 A4 so checked Q3 to continue audi but q3 just have driver seat auto so gave it up too. Mercedes order system is different in my country. So start to look at to others, than i saw sportage, didnt even know changed the look. I learn that sportages designer is bmw designer ….. and bought it. Just love my kia now
Small engines such as that would not sell here. And the cost of diesel fuel is so much higher than regular petrol. We only have a 2.5 liter petrol four here.
The only 2 good points there are Towing capacity & Offroad capability The rest of this list can be true/false fully depending on how you drive Relying on Solid numbers when it comes to mpg or How "Fun" or "Boring" driving is when all of those cars in that same category has varying drive modes that can greatly influence the result is really the least practically realistic way to compare competitors.
The car so far has had 2 slow tire leaks, the exhaust emission valve needs replacement. Avnel Kia not so coordinated with vacations and letting the other person know to call the customer that the part is in and to schedule service appointment. I had to call them after 3 weeks. A third issue has popped up and there are no loaner cars available. I wish I had bought a BMW or Mereceds. KIA Corporate is not providing enough training to their dealerships clearly. Stay tuned to my next follow up post.
You are not right! I have The front wheel drive Kia sportage and is verry good car for the money. I am driving allways on the roads, no need for a awd, is a verry stupid option to buy a car for roads with awd, really is a mistake.
The lane assist on this model almost hurt my son the other day, could have killed him. It pulled him off the road and into the ditch. Avoid this model.
I owe a 2015 kia sportage lx ,, going down the highway the engine blew , 123,000 km , i got recall 2yrs beforesaying do not park in a garage as it can catch fire, really , kia did put in a new engine free of charge ..because kia had a court order of there faulty suv, buyer Beware.lesson learned
KIA car is not reliable & their parts break down faster than Toyota. For example, Toyota alternator or starter can last up to 120-150k before u replace it... KIA last only 80k. Go with toyota.. it will u ton of times.. Korea cars look good but parts suck big time

Video is dumb. I am buying a Sportage today just to spite this video.
i just bought one to 😅
😂😂 brokie

I don’t care if the Ford got 100 MPG I’d never buy one. JUNK

I got a 2024 Kia Sportage base model and its awesome. No issues whatsoever. 9 months in.
This is such a bogus list. I drove a PHEV Rav4 which costs 10k more and it was like the stone age compared to the sportage. Talk about boring to drive...
Have you ever actually drove these 2 vehicles??
Agree.
This is true. The RAV4 needs a redesign badly, and the Sportage proves it. The only gripe is no wireless autoplay. WTF were they thinking?

Kia sportag 2022 is that good car?

Love mine. Non turbo GDI/MPI engine, standard AT. Its not a fast car by any means but its smooth and comfortable.
My wife has had her Sportage for 8 years. She loves it and we have had no major problems. Her model is a UK variant 2.0 AWD

Comfort and boot space in the RAV 4 are incomparable to the Sportage , for me this is a useless video ...
I don’t think anyone with Towing’s in mind would but a compact suv. Makes no sense.
I live in New York. I can get around with a car that only goes 30 miles an hour.
