This is waste of resources, if built illegally then only punishment should be to the owner,he should be deprived of its ownership and govt should take control of this tower and sell it or use it for some else This will save alot of resources being wasted

Demolition of that tower caused too much inconvenience to people and too much pollution!!! ( 3700kg explosive causes too much pollution). This demolition will cause long term health issue fir the nearby residents
The best solution would have been that the court would have formed committee that would ask quotations from other builders to complete towers in a certain time, against certain percentage of ownership in towers. Remaining ownership would be with the society and each flat owner of the society would get the money from sale of towers in their account. This would be reimbursement for the value they lost due to extra tower in place of green patch and reduce the cost of the flat they had bought.
In Dubai you can see even taller towers and buildings standing in much closer proximity. It's sad to see such beautiful iconic buildings being destroyed in seconds. Why can't Govt. regularize or take over such buildings. Who will benifit from destruction.
Noida authority must be punished for this mess but no one will get punishment thats how law works . Paralysed judiciary took 8 years to demolish it haha great democracy with paralysed judiciary and excellent law enforcement
Why Noida is a Authority and not a municipality? NOIDA was built for factories. But when they decided to make residential areas, it should have been converted in to a municipality.
i think sc should also look for other options as well for e.g. gave ownership to govt and sell to people in less amount or demolish 10-15 floor. Also punish govt employees who gave NOC, doesn't follow protocols and take bribe as a lesson. Thats why govt go for privitization.
